The network system includes a controller, a network device, and a terminal device. The terminal device is configured to: when the terminal device accesses a network, send a first packet to a network device connected to the terminal device. The network device is configured to: in response to the first packet sent by the terminal device, mark a connection type of a port connected to the terminal device as a first type; and in response to a topology query request sent by the controller, send a topology query response to the controller, where the topology query response includes an identifier or port information of the network device. According to embodiments of this application, network topology discovery performance can be improved.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a packet processing system and method, to perform network topology discovery and routing table delivery. The system includes a source node, an intermediate node, and a destination node. After receiving, from a first port, a first packet to be sent by the source node to the destination node, the intermediate node decodes the first packet to obtain a forwarding path of the packet and an identifier ID of the source node; and the intermediate node generates a first mapping relationship based on the ID of the source node and an identifier of the first port, so that when receiving a response packet of the first packet, the intermediate node may determine a sending port of the response packet based on the first mapping relationship.

    Abstract: According to a method, when it is detected that service traffic needs to be switched from a first optical layer path to a second optical layer path, a first internet protocol (IP) link associated with the service traffic needs to be determined, and an IP link used to transmit the service traffic is adjusted from the first IP link to a second IP link; an optical layer path of the first IP link is switched from the first optical layer path to the second optical layer path after the adjustment of the IP link is completed; and the IP link used to transmit the service traffic is adjusted from the second IP link to the first IP link after the switching of the optical layer path is completed. In this way, continuity of the service traffic can be ensured.
