  • Patent number: 6703282
Abstract: A method of forming an NMOS device with reduced device degradation, generated during a constant current stress, has been developed. The reduced device degradation is attributed to the use of a high temperature oxide (HTO), layer, used as an underlying component of composite insulator spacers, formed on the sides of the NMOS gate structures. After definition of an insulator capped polycide gate structure a thin, (140 to 160 Angstrom), HTO layer is deposited at a temperature between about 700 to 800° C., followed by the deposition of a silicon nitride layer. Definition of the composite insulator layer, comprised with the underlying, HTO, results in NMOS devices with reduced drain current and reduced transconductance values, when compared to counterparts fabricated with composite insulator spacers formed without the thin, HTO layer featured in this invention.

  • Patent number: 6447112
Abstract: Methods and systems for curing radiation-curable inks printed on substrates using inkjet printheads are disclosed. The methods and systems include radiation sources that are either integral with a printer or that can be added to an existing printer. In either case, the radiation source preferably moves independently of the printhead to provide the desired electromagnetic curing energy to the printed ink. The radiation source and the printhead may be mounted separately and move independently such that the mass of the printhead is not significantly increased.

  • Patent number: 6123686
Abstract: The present invention concerns a pump provided with a control module and an attachable fluid reservoir cassette. The control module includes a pumping mechanism for pumping fluid from the fluid reservoir to the patient. The cassette is provided with appropriate indicia to identify differences between a plurality of cassettes. The control module further includes cassette indicia identification structure for identifying indicia on the cassette. One type of cassette identification system includes a projection extending from the cassette and structure associated with the control module which engages the projection. Another type of cassette identification system includes a light reflecting system which utilizes light from the control module and reflected off the cassette. Still other types of cassette identification systems utilize other non-contact switches or sensors to sense indicia on the cassette to identify the cassette from a plurality of cassettes.
