The beacon transmitter transmits a beacon including identification information for identifying the image forming apparatus. The portable information processing apparatus comprises a beacon reception section configured to receive a beacon including the identification information, a communication section connected to the network, and a control section configured to perform control to transmit information relating to the image forming job via the network to the image forming apparatus identified by the identification information included in the received beacon if the portable information processing apparatus enters a coverage area of the beacon transmitter and receives the beacon.
