    Abstract: A fingerprint detection apparatus, a mobile device using the same and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The fingerprint detection apparatus comprises a substrate, an image sensing integrated circuit (IC), a light emitting circuit, a window layer and a molding material. The image sensing IC is disposed on the substrate. The light emitting circuit is disposed on the substrate and one side of the image sensing IC, and is electrically connected to the image sensing IC. The window layer is disposed on the image sensing IC, wherein light can pass through the window layer and enter the image sensing IC. The molding material surrounds the image sensing IC and blocks a light travelling path between the light emitting circuit and the image sensing IC to prevent the light emitted directly from the light emitting circuit from entering the image sensing IC and enhance the quality of fingerprint identification.

The portable electronic device includes a first image sensor and a processing circuit. The first image sensor captures first two-dimensional information of an object. The add-on auxiliary device includes at least one second image sensor and a transmission line. The second image sensor captures second two-dimensional information of the object. The second two-dimensional information is transmitted to the processing circuit via the transmission line, whereby the processing circuit generates three-dimensional information of the object according to the first two-dimensional information and the second two-dimensional information. Or, the processing circuit generates three-dimensional information of the object according to plural second two-dimensional information.

    Abstract: A data transmission bridge device for transmitting data that adheres to USB specification for transmitting data and includes: a first connecting interface, a second connecting interface, and a control chip. The first connecting interface is used for connecting a first host device, and the second connecting interface is used for connecting a second host device or a slave device. The control chip connects the first connecting interface and the second connecting interface, and further includes two transmission paths. The control chip detects which device is connecting to the second connecting interface, and switch to select one of the two transmission paths for transmitting data between the first connecting interface and the second connecting interface. Therefore, the present invention can achieve the purpose that the host device can bridge and transmit data with any other device conveniently.

    Abstract: A KVM switch and an operation method thereof can share at least one USB device to a plurality of computers, and the computers can directly communicate with the USB device through a switch module. The KVM switch further comprises a microprocessor and a USB controller. When switching in the KVM switch, by using the set information command in USB specification, the microprocessor can control the USB controller to interfere in setting the USB device to become receiving a signal sent by the computer which recognition data is representative. Then, the computers need not execute the enumeration process to recognize the USB device in every switching time. Hence, the KVM switch can improve the compatibility problem and increase switching efficiency.

The proposed architecture is characterized by integration of an in-device storage unit with internal functional modules of the peripheral device for storing device specific data and software such as the dedicated device driver of the peripheral device. An enhanced plug-and-play (ePnP) layered structure is proposed based on the in-device storage architecture. The ePnP provides a mechanism to PnP peripheral devices' functions customization. An application of the ePnP is the mechanism to bring up the device driver automatically when the peripheral device is connected to the host computer unit. This auto-installation mechanism provides a truly plug-and-play capability to the user.
