Abstract: Source code of a golden version and a next version of a program is received in which procedure calls are modified to call from an entry point table (EPT) with index numbers corresponding to procedure memory addresses. An executable defect-free golden version program and next version program with a defect are received. A first entry point table (first EPT) for the new version program and a second EPT for the golden version program are generated. A series of substitutions of procedures from the second EPT to the first EPT is performed and an order of substitutions includes: a module set, a module of the module set, a procedure set of the module, and a procedure of the procedure set. The defect producing procedure is identified by substituting in order until the defect is absent and proceeding to the next substitution in order.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method, system, and computer program product for comparison of database data. According to the method, a first tree structure corresponding to first data segments of first database data and a second tree structure corresponding to second data segments of second database data are at least partially obtained. Each node of the first or second tree structure indicating a characteristic value of at least one of the first or second data segments, and nodes of the first or second tree structure are divided into a first or second plurality of branches from a first or second root node based on update frequencies of the first or second data segments. A difference between the first data segments and the second data segments is determined by at least comparing characteristic values indicated by nodes in the obtained parts of the first and second tree structures.

Abstract: Methods that provide dynamic index management for a set of computing storage resources are disclosed herein. One method includes collecting, by a processor, a set of current performance data for a set of storage resources storing data and implementing a set of indexes for the data stored on the set of storage resources based on an optimized performance predicted for the set of storage resources based on the collected set of current performance data and a set of predicted performance data that identifies the set of indexes. Also disclosed herein are apparatus, systems, and computer program products that can include, perform, and/or implement the methods for providing dynamic index management for a set of computing storage resources.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for enhanced path mapping based on safety consideration. To provide a method to determine a superior path from at least two alternative paths, it is proposed that the navigation system adds one or more new safety parameters based on safety consideration in path mapping process and calculate a path safety index for the alternative paths. The safety parameters may include a biometric index of at least one of drivers of vehicles on the alternative paths, a physical status of the vehicles or environment, a driving habits index of at least one of drivers of the vehicles and/or an autonomous vehicle safety index of at least one of the vehicles.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to searching for and committing low-frequency data to a database. An example method generally includes receiving, from a requesting application, a query for data from the data repository. A database system retrieves a set of indices associated with the data specified in the query from an index table in the data repository. Upon determining that the set of indices comprises a non-null set, the database system retrieves records associated with each index in the set of indices from a data table associated with the index table and returns the retrieved records to the requesting application.

Abstract: Examples of techniques for obtaining video captured by a camera in a vehicle are disclosed. Aspects include receiving a request for a traffic video, the request including a location and a time period and transmitting, to a plurality of communications devices, a data request for information regarding videos captured by vehicles at the location during the time period. Aspects also include receiving, from one or more of the plurality of communications devices, data regarding videos captured at the location during the time period and analyzing the data received to identify one or more videos of interest. Aspects include receiving a wireless-based location records database including a plurality of wireless-based location records. Aspects also include receiving Wi-Fi data and gait data from a user device. Aspects also include determining an approximate location of a user associated with the user device based on the Wi-Fi data and the plurality of wireless-based location records. Aspects also include receiving image capture data from one or more image capture devices viewing the approximate location of the user. Aspects also include identifying the user based on the image capture data and the gait data. Abstract: The present invention provides a text searching method including the steps of: extracting initials of corresponding words in a text to be searched according to a predetermined extracting rule to form an initial character string; creating mapping relation between the extracted initial character string and the text to be searched; performing matching between the initial character string and an abbreviation character string to be searched for; and determining an expanded phrase corresponding to the abbreviation character string to be searched for and a location of the expanded phrase in the text to be searched according to a result of the matching and the mapping relation. The invention further provides a text searching device for implementing the method and a text processor including the text searching device.
