Abstract: A task in an application node is managed. For instance, based on a type of a predetermined task that is to be executed on a data object in the application node, an address range of a group of objects on which the predetermined task is to be executed is determined in the data object. The predetermined task is executed on the group of objects in an order of addresses of the group of objects. A progress indicator is created for indicating an address of an object that is currently being processed in the group of objects. The predetermined task is managed based on the progress indicator. Thus, an address of an object that is currently being processed may be indicated based on the progress indicator, so that the predetermined task may be managed more easily and effectively based on the progress indicator in subsequent operations.

Abstract: A bicycle rack support device for a vehicle to attach a bicycle rack for carrying a bicycle by the vehicle is provided. The bicycle rack support device includes a bracket, a collapsible latch assembly having a first engagement member and a second engagement member, a horizontal support bar, and a vertical support bar. The first engagement member is operatively engaged along the bottom portion of the bracket and coupled to the horizontal support bar. The second engagement member is operatively engaged along the top portion of the bracket and coupled with the vertical support bar. The vertical support bar is pivoted and may move towards rearward from the partially back opened recess away from the horizontal support bar to be angularly adjusted. The vertical support bar is further pivoted forward towards the horizontal support bar to be locked on the horizontal support bar.

Abstract: A protective case for a pearl comprises a wall defining a closed internal volume for containing a pearl when the case is closed. A first case part and a second case part each form a substantial wall portion of the wall of the case. The first and second case parts are adapted to be releasably closed together to define the closed internal volume of the case, and each of the first and second case parts is formed from a transparent material. An irreversible locking mechanism is adapted to lock the first and second parts together when closed and prevent the first and second parts from being opened, such that the locking mechanism must be broken to open the case. The locking mechanism is located inside the case and is visible through the transparent material of at least one of the first and second case parts so that a state of the locking mechanism is discernible from an outside of the case.
