  • Patent number: 11374411
Abstract: The invention relates to an island converter overload limit method and device for a bipolar flexible DC transmission system, and belongs to the field of DC transmission. During stable island operation, both bipolar converters adopt a voltage-frequency droop control strategy; and once it is detected that one converter is overloaded, the control mode of the overloaded converter is automatically switched to active-wattless power control from voltage-frequency droop control to fulfill an overload limit function. The method effectively avoids an overload of the bipolar flexible DC transmission system under island operation, effectively maintains the AC voltage and frequency stable, and has important guiding significance for applying island systems to DC power grids.

  • Patent number: 11190020
Abstract: A DC voltage coordination control method is applied to a multi-terminal VSC-HVDC power transmission system or a VSC-HVDC power grid system. When a lower-level control is used in the active power control mode, the active power reference value of the converter is generated according to the converter DC voltage and the converter DC voltage active power curve; it also includes an upper-level control to adjust the control mode and active power setting value of the lower-level control to ensure the steady-state performance of the system. This method has low dependence on communication, avoids the problem that the fixed slope and margin cannot meet all operating conditions, and is suitable for large-scale VSC-HVDC systems, and has scalability.

  • Patent number: 10205498
Abstract: An enhanced Node B (eNB) for precoding is generally described. In some embodiments, a first precoding-matrix indicator (PMI) and a second PMI is received on an uplink channel from user equipment (UE). Symbols for multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) beamforming may be precoded by the eNB using a precoder matrix recommended by the first and second PMIs, for a MIMO downlink orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) transmission. The first PMI and the second PMI are calculated by selecting a representative codeword that is indexed by i1 and i2 for a plurality of 2TX constituent beams, the 2TX constituent beam that provides the best system evaluation metric. The i1 index for wideband and the i2 index for each subband are identified from the defined 2TX constituent beam.

  • Publication number: 20140365405
Abstract: In some embodiments, instead of relying only on information about the characters that are being entered to predict what data is intended to be entered into a user interface, information about the user interface itself may be used to help predict what data may be entered. For example, attributes that are associated with a text entry box can be used to provide more accurate predictions of what data a user intends to enter.

  • Patent number: 8698335
Abstract: A system comprising low cost topology for power converter systems is provided. The system takes advantage of the voltage-boost characteristic of a current source inverter (CSI) and utilizes a PWM CSI as a grid-side converter for power generation systems. Moreover, the generator-side converter employs low-cost devices, such as, but not limited to diode bridge, thyristor bridge, and/or a combination of diodes and thyristors, and accordingly simplifies generator-side converter and control. Further, the system provides a wider range of operation than traditional voltage source converter based topologies that utilize a voltage source inverter (VSI) as the grid-side convertor along with a diode rectifier as the generator-side converter.
