The present invention discloses for the first time that there is a kind of macrophage subsets for high expression of a triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-2 in cardiac derived macrophages, which has a strong function of recognizing and reducing mitochondrial damage and plays an important role in maintaining a cardiac metabolic balance. Therefore, the TREM2hi macrophages have important application value in treatment of the cardiac dysfunction.
