  • Publication number: 20110091397
Abstract: A water-in-oil emulsion system is provided that includes a water phase, an oil phase, a water-in-oil emulsifier of 1-5 wt % on the basis of the total amount of the system, a solid powder of 0.1-20 wt % on the basis of the total amount of the system and a cationic surfactant of 0.01-2 wt % on the basis of the total amount of the system. The cationic surfactant is a quaternary ammonium salt represented by the general formula R1R2R3R4N+X?, in which R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently a C1-C28 alkyl group or a C1-C28 alkyl group substituted by a C1-C4 acyl group, a C2-C4 acyloxy group, a hydroxy group or a C2-C4 alkenyl group, and X? is an anion.

  • Publication number: 20110028424
Abstract: An oil-in-water microemulsion is provided, which includes, on the basis of its total weight, the following components of A) 55-95 wt % of a water phase; B) 0.1-20 wt % of an oil phase, wherein the oil phase comprises at least one oil/fat component containing polyoxypropylene chains; and C) 1-25 wt % of an oil-in-water nonionic emulsifier, wherein the emulsifier is selected from the following group of: hydrophilic nonionic surfactants with polyoxyethylene chains as hydrophilic groups, polyglycerol fatty acid esters, polyglycerol fatty alcohol ethers, sucrose fatty acid esters, and hydrocarbyl polyglycosides. The oil-in-water microemulsion carries a large amount of oil. In addition, the use of an oil/fat containing polyoxypropylene chains is disclosed for increasing the amount of oil carried in an oil-in-water microemulsion.

  • Publication number: 20100310617
Abstract: The present invention relates to a water-in-oil system, which comprises 1.5-9 wt. % of hydrophobic silica, 0.1-5 wt. % of a water-in-oil emulsifier, 10-40 wt. % of an oil phase, with the content of the oil phase not including the hydrophobic silica and water-in-oil emulsifier therein, and 55-85 wt % of a water phase; with the proviso that said hydrophobic silica is not AEROSILĀ® RY200 hydrophobic fumed silica, and it is excluded the formulation comprising the components of: polyoxyalkylene modified polysiloxane SH3775E, a compound of the following formula (I) and hydrophobic fumed silica AEROSILĀ® R812, in which the weight ratio of SH3775E to the compound of formula (I) is 05, and the weight ratio of the sum of SH3775E and the compound of formula (I) to hydrophobic fumed silica AEROSILĀ® R812 is also 05.

  • Publication number: 20090317344
Abstract: This invention describes a high water content lipstick and its preparation. This formula includes 1-10 wt % emulsifiers, 1-30 wt % water phase and 69-98 wt % oil components phase. Pigments, pearl agents, water soluble active ingredients can be introduced when required. Polyglyceryl fatty ester, fatty ester and silicone derivative are combined as the mixed emulsifier to form a water-in-oil pre emulsion and then add this pre emulsion into other oil components. This preparing method is easy to handle and can increase the water content effectively. The samples produced according to this invention are very stable in storage and usage: no coarse surface or air bubbles phenomena appear. As this kind of formula comprises water, the cost may be lowered compared with normal anhydrous formulas, moreover, water soluble active ingredients are also possible to be added, which will give the consumer a totally new feeling. The invention can be widely applied in lip care products.
