Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for upgrading electronic devices. For example, described herein are ways to upgrade components of an electronic device. The techniques may include receiving, at an electronic device (such as a smart phone or tablet computer), a plurality of files for upgrading a component of the electronic device. The electronic device may select a file of the plurality of files that is indicative of being configured to upgrade the component to a next version of a chronological sequence of versions of the component. The electronic device may also upgrade the component using the selected upgrade file. Also, the electronic device may repeat automatically, without human intervention, the selecting and the upgrading until the component is upgraded to a target version of the sequence of the versions.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and networking equipment for acquiring feature information. It relates to a field of computer and communication technology to acquire the device information using the networking equipment such as a router and to send the device information to other users. The method may include: receiving a network connection request sent from a first terminal device; acquiring device information of the first terminal device in response to the received network connection request; determining the feature information of the first terminal device based on the acquired device information; and outputting the determined feature information.

Abstract: A method for controlling access to a router is provided. The method includes: transmitting a first connection request for establishing a connection using a visitor identity to a router, wherein the first connection request comprises a user identification of a first terminal device; receiving indication information which is transmitted from a second terminal device, the indication information indicating that access to the router is permitted; and transmitting a second connection request for establishing a connection to the router, wherein the second connection request comprises the received indication information.

Abstract: An interactive method, terminal device and system for communicating multimedia information are disclosed in the embodiments of the present disclosure. A sending terminal is configured to pop up a multimedia recording window at a preset location on a current conversation interface after a multimedia recording function is initiated, display the captured video information in the multimedia recording window, and send the multimedia information which is encoded in the current conversation interface after the recording of the multimedia information is finished. According to the present disclosure, a multimedia recording window and a multimedia player window are provided on a current conversation interface to implement the recording and playing of multimedia information, so that a smooth and continuous multimedia communication can be achieved with limited resources such as network bandwidth. Moreover, the transmission rate of information may be increased.
