  • Publication number: 20240111030
Abstract: To improve resolution while suppressing the number of light emitting elements arranged in an optical module. The optical module is provided with an optical element that converts a light beam emitted from the light emitting element into a substantially parallel light beam or a light beam having a predetermined angular width, and a diffraction element that diffracts the light beam to separate into a plurality of light beams. The diffraction element generates diffracted lights in n direction, and an angle ?x formed between one diffraction direction and a side in a direction in which the light emitting element is arranged satisfies tan?1 (b/3a). A diffraction angle ?x of the diffracted light satisfies m·sgrt((3?a){circumflex over (?)}2+?b{circumflex over (?)}2)/(2(2n+1)). Note that, ?a and ?b are angular differences of two light beams caused by inter-light emission distances a and b. Furthermore, n is a natural number, and m is a natural number excluding an integral multiple of 2n+1.

  • Publication number: 20240019547
Abstract: [Object] To provide an illumination apparatus and a ranging apparatus, the illumination apparatus including a light-emitting element that includes a plurality of light emitter groups, the illumination apparatus being suitable to drive the light emitter for each light emitter group. [Solving Means] An illumination apparatus according to the present technology includes a light-emitting element and a drive circuit. The light-emitting element includes a plurality of first light emitters, a plurality of second light emitters, a lower electrode that is connected to the plurality of first light emitters and the plurality of second light emitters, a first upper electrode that is connected to each of the plurality of first light emitters, and a second upper electrode that is connected to each of the plurality of second light emitters.

  • Publication number: 20230168346
Abstract: In an optical module that irradiates an object with a light beam and detects reflected light thereof, a linear light beam without distortion is emitted regardless of an incident angle of a scanned light beam. The light emitting unit includes a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a predetermined direction. The converging unit converges the light beam emitted from each of the plurality of light emitting elements into a substantially parallel light beam or a light beam having a predetermined angular width at a predetermined diaphragm center point. The light conversion unit converts the light beam through the converging unit into a linear light beam in a line direction substantially orthogonal to the arrangement direction of the light emitting unit by the optical surface. The light detection unit detects reflected light from the object with respect to the linear light beam.

  • Publication number: 20220342070
Abstract: A lighting device includes: a light-emitting element having multiple first light-emitting sections and multiple second light-emitting sections; a first optical member that causes multiple pieces of first light outputted from the multiple first light-emitting sections and multiple pieces of second light outputted from the multiple second light-emitting sections to be substantially collimated, and outputs the multiple pieces of first light and the multiple pieces of second light; and a second optical member that shapes beam shapes of the multiple pieces of first light, beam shapes of the multiple pieces of second light, or both the beam shapes of the multiple pieces of first light and the multiple pieces of second light, and outputs the multiple pieces of first light and the multiple pieces of second light in a manner that the beam shapes are different between the multiple pieces of first light and the multiple pieces of second light.
