  • Publication number: 20140016363
Abstract: Aspects of the invention provide a switching power supply that exhibits an improved conversion efficiency. In aspects of the invention, a load condition detecting circuit sets a threshold voltage for determining the magnitude of the load on the DC-DC converter based on the maximum value of the output voltage of the power factor correction converter in a suspended period of the power factor correction converter. An operation permission signal is delivered when a feedback voltage that indicates the magnitude of the load of the DC-DC converter exceeds the threshold voltage. When the feedback voltage exceeds a threshold voltage that is set at a value higher than the threshold voltage, the operation permission signal is delivered.

  • Publication number: 20140016364
Abstract: In some aspects of the invention, a load state detecting circuit is configured so that a threshold voltage for determining the size of a load of a DC-DC converter is set in the load state detecting circuit based on a maximum value of an output voltage of a power factor correction converter in an operation-stopped state of the power factor correction converter, so that the load state detecting circuit outputs an operation-enable signal when a feedback voltage indicating the size of the load of the DC-DC converter exceeds the threshold voltage. Thus, by way of some aspects of the invention, it is possible to provide a switching power supply device which can control enabling and stopping operation of a power factor correction converter reliably in accordance with a load state of a DC-DC converter obtaining a predetermined DC output voltage by switching an output voltage of the correction converter.

  • Publication number: 20140011239
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of increasing extracellular secretion of secretory proteins by co-expressing the secretory proteins with a mature cutinase. Cutinase can improve the permeability of E. coli cell membrane without destroying the membrane, and thus facilitate cross-membrane transfer of the secretory proteins co-expressed in E. coli. Increased extracellular secretion of target proteins can shorten cell culture time, reduce the formation of inclusion bodies and increase production of target proteins.

  • Publication number: 20130346805
Abstract: A method and system have been described for counteracting and correcting for read disturb effects in blocks of flash memory. The method may include the step of a controller of the memory system performing a read scrub scan on only a portion of one targeted word line in a block at desired intervals. The controller may calculate whether a read scrub scan is necessary based on a probabilistic determination that is calculated in response to each received host read command. The controller may then place a block associated with the targeted word line into a refresh queue if a number of errors are detected in the targeted word line that meets or exceeds a predetermined threshold. The block refresh process may include copying the data from the block into a new block during a background operation.
