Abstract: Techniques and architectures for video stabilization can transform a shaky video to a steady-looking video. A path smoothing process can generate an optimized camera path for video stabilization. With a large smoothing kernel, a path smoothing process can remove both high frequency jitters and low frequency bounces, and at the same time can preserve discontinuous camera motions (such as quick panning or scene transition) to avoid excessive cropping or geometry distortion. A sliding window based implementation includes a path smoothing process that can be used for real-time video stabilization.

Abstract: A method of screening a lithium ion battery is provided. A number of lithium ion batteries are galvanostatically discharged to a discharge cutoff voltage V0 at a first constant current I1. The number of lithium ion batteries are rested for a first rest time T1. The number of lithium ion batteries are galvanostatically charged to a charge cutoff voltage V1 at a second constant current I2. The number of lithium ion batteries are rested for a second rest time T2, and the batteries are screened based on a self-discharge of the plurality of lithium ion batteries.

Abstract: Methods and devices are provided to facilitate acquisition of information associated with a multimedia content through embedded watermarks. One such method includes obtaining a server code for embedding into a content. The server code identifies a particular domain name registered to a registrant entity and provides a mapping to an Internet address of a metadata server. Upon receiving an indication that a trigger event is associated with a particular segment of the content, a first watermark payload is formed and embedded in the content. The watermark payload includes the server code, an interval code and a first trigger value. The interval code identifies the particular content segment and the first trigger value indicates that additional information associated with the particular segment is. Detection of the first trigger value from a subsequently distributed content enables a query to the metadata server for acquisition of metadata.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for handling evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) radio access bearer (E-RAB) switch failure for dual connectivity in a wireless communication system is provided. A master evolved NodeB (MeNB) in dual connectivity receives an E-RAB modification confirm message including a list of E-RABs failed to be modified from a mobility management entity (MME). The MeNB may keep old general packet ratio service (GPRS) tunneling protocol (GTP) tunnels for the failed E-RABs, and trigger a secondary eNB (SeNB) release procedure or a SeNB modification procedure for releasing the failed E-RABs. Alternatively, the MeNB may trigger an E-RAB release procedure for releasing the failed E-RABs.

In another embodiment, the MeNB transmits an indication which requests change of a SeNB UE-AMBR to a SeNB, receives information related to a new SeNB UE-AMBR from the SeNB; and decides whether to change the SeNB UE-AMBR based on the information related to the new SeNB UE-AMBR.

The RAN device receives a first service request for a first mobile radio that is listed in the PMT as being registered with the RAN via a first MSU and, in response to receiving the first service request, makes a determination that an air-interface link is available for communication between the RAN and the first MSU. In response to making the determination, the RAN device communicates the first service request via the available air-interface link to the first MSU for delivery to the first mobile radio.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composite microorganism enzyme, a method for preparing a plant nutrient solution by using the composite microorganism enzyme, and a fertilizer synergist. The method comprises the following steps: mixing fresh kelp pulp with a composite microorganism enzyme; and performing enzymolysis on the mixture of the fresh kelp pulp and the composite microorganism enzyme in an enzymolysis vessel to obtain the plant nutrient solution; the composite microorganism enzyme comprises more than one kind each of cellulase, pectinase, protease and amylase, the mass percentage of the cellulases and the pectinases being far greater than that of the proteases and the amylases. The present method for preparing a plant nutrient solution involves a simple enzymolysis process, mild reaction conditions, low costs and no other chemical compositions during the reaction processes, and maintains more of the active ingredients of the fresh kelp.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for intelligent dual-channel volume adjustment. One embodiment takes the form of a dual-watch mobile radio that includes a first receiver, a second receiver, an audio output port, a one-dimensional (1-D) volume control, and a controller programmed to carry out a set of functions. The set of functions includes receiving first and second audio signals from the first and second receivers, respectively, and generating first and second amplified audio signals at least in part by applying first and second signal gains to the first and second audio signals, respectively, as well as outputting the first and second amplified audio signals via the audio output port. The set of functions also includes receiving volume-control commands from the 1-D volume control, and responsively adjusting the first and second signal gains at least in part by applying a gain function to the first and second signal gains.
