    Abstract: Provided are methods and compositions for preparing a library of target nucleic acid sequences that are useful for assessing gene mutations for oncology biomarker profiling of samples. In particular, a target-specific primer panel is provided that allows for selective amplification of oncology biomarker target sequences in a sample. In one aspect, the invention relates to target-specific primers useful for selective amplification of one or more target sequences associated with oncology biomarkers from two or more sample types. In some aspects, amplified target sequences obtained using the disclosed methods, and compositions can be used in various processes including nucleic acid sequencing and used to detect the presence of genetic variants of one or more targeted sequences associated with oncology.

    Abstract: A method for detecting a gene fusion includes amplifying a nucleic acid sample in the presence of primer pool to produce a plurality of amplicons. The primer pool includes primers targeting a plurality of exon-exon junctions of a driver gene. The amplicons correspond to the exon-exon junctions. The amplicons are sequenced and aligned to a reference sequence. The number of reads corresponding to each amplicon is normalized to give a normalized read count. A baseline correction is applied to the normalized read counts for the amplicons to form corrected read counts. A binary segmentation score is calculated for each corrected read count. A predicted breakpoint for the gene fusion is determined based on the amplicon index corresponding to the maximum absolute binary segmentation score. Gene fusion events may be detected in a partner agnostic manner, i.e. without prior knowledge of the specific fusion partner genes or specific breakpoint information.

The technique includes receiving a plurality of reference signals, which each have information indicative of noise. Thus, the technique further includes, for each reference signal, determining a noise estimation and determining a distance metric and log-likelihood ratio (LLR) of the noise estimation. Once the distance metric and LLR of each reference signal is determined, the receiver can determine a final LLR based on the distance metric and LLR of each reference signal. In this manner, a final LLR is determined. This technique can be applied by any device operating on MIMO technology.

    Abstract: Introduced here are techniques for reducing the latency at a terminal device. In particular, for reducing the latency of detecting the downlink control information (DCI) in a downlink signal such as the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal. The techniques include determining a probability of each aggregation level of the control channel elements (CCE) in a signal carrying the DCI. The probability can be based on the packet error rate (PER) of the signal. The PER can vary based on factors such as the signal to noise ratio (SNR) and/or the fading measurements. Further, the probability can depend on the reception history of the terminal device. Based on these factors, the terminal device can decode the CCEs in an order indicative of the probability of the corresponding aggregation levels carrying the DCI.

The receiver performs demodulation and decoding of the data signal prior to processing the entirety of the sequence of reference signals.
