  • Patent number: 10018799
Abstract: A method includes receiving an optical signal from an external network at a first optical terminal affixed to an external side of a substantially transparent surface of a building. The first optical terminal includes a first fiber port configured to receive a first optical fiber and an output lens optically coupled to the first fiber port. The first fiber port is configured to route the optical signal from the external network to first optical terminal. The method also includes directing the optical signal through an optical link extending through the substantially transparent surface to a second optical terminal affixed to an interior side of the substantially transparent surface. The second optical terminal includes an input lens and a second fiber port optically coupled to the input lens. The input lens is configured to receive the optical signal from the first optical terminal through the optical link.

  • Publication number: 20040035071
Abstract: A molded grating includes at least a grating member and a grating connector. The grating member includes a plurality of grating walls, each having a predetermined height, spaced apart with each other, and a plurality of crossing walls integrally connected to the grating walls in a cross manner, wherein each of the grating walls has an enlarged end portion and an elongated grating body extended therefrom, so as to enhance a structural strength of the grating member. The grating connector includes two resilient wings each having a wing cavity shaped and sized to receive the respective enlarged end portion of the two grating walls to substantially engage the resilient wings with the two grating walls respectively, so as to detachably attach the grating connector to the grating member.

  • Patent number: 5548912
Abstract: This construction is one type of water filled crystal ball with driven steel balls. The main parts include, a water filled crystal ball and fixed base. On the top periphery of this round fixed base is placed a continuous track. This track is filled with steel balls. On the bottom face of the above mentioned fixed base is a rotatable flexible base which is driven by a music box spindle located in the fixed flexible base. The rotation of this base, causes the rotation and thus movement of the above mentioned steel balls which circulate within the track. Decorative objects then move within the space above the fixed base.

  • Patent number: 4992963
Abstract: An apparatus for dividing light reflected by an illuminated surface into constituent parts of illuminating light and surface spectral reflectance of the surface. The apparatus includes a receiving device for receiving signals representing measured spectral power distribution Im(.lambda.) of the light reflected by the illuminated surface. The apparatus generates a weighting coefficient .epsilon..sub.i for each of M illuminant basis functions EB.sub.i (.lambda.) for describing the illuminating light. Weighting coefficients .sigma..sub.j for each of N reflectance basis functions Sb.sub.j (.lambda.) are generated to describe the reflectance of the surface. The apparatus compares an approximation Ia(.lambda.) of the measured spectral power distribution Im(.lambda.), Ia(.lambda.) being defined by the relation: ##EQU1## where the set of product pairs Eb.sub.i (.lambda.)Sb.sub.j (.lambda.) is linearly independent.Different weighting coefficients are regenerated until said Ia(.lambda.) and said Im(.lambda.
