Abstract: Wireless payment systems and methods for electronic payment of bills are provided. In one example, a digital image of a bill and a location of a user device at a time at which the digital image was captured are received by a service provider server. A merchant is determined based on the location of the user device at the time at which the digital image was captured. A merchant-specific bill format of the bill is determined for the merchant. A billed amount is determined by analyzing the digital image using intelligent optical character recognition based on the merchant-specific bill format of the bill. Payment and optionally reward point processing is subsequent performed.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to a protected electronic communication method comprising assigning a protected electronic communication to a data element, wherein the protected electronic communication comprises a plurality of identifier segments, receiving a request for the data element to be included in an analytics report, determining, according to the protected electronic communication, whether the data element is permitted to be included in the analytics report, and in response to determining that the data element is permitted to be included in the analytics report, providing the data element for use in the analytics report.

In an example, on receiving a communication error for a call session, values of communication parameters to be used for another call session, which is subsequent to the call session for which the communication error is received, may be determined. The communication parameter may be, for instance, a transmission rate and an error correction mode (ECM). The values of the communication parameters in the subsequent call session may be determined, based on values of these parameters in a previous call session(s), i.e., the call session for which the communication error is received. Further, a communication channel may be established using the determined values of the communication parameters.
