    Abstract: A method is performed by an extent pool manager running on a data storage device. It is configured to manage assignment of disk extents provided by a pool of drives to a set of mapped RAID extents. The method includes (a) receiving an indication that a particular drive has triggered an end-of-life (EOL) condition based on an error count of that drive and a standard sensitivity setting, (b) in response to receiving the indication, changing a sensitivity setting of other drives to be less sensitive than the standard sensitivity setting, and (c) remapping disk extents from the particular drive to the other drives of the pool while the other drives continue operation using the changed sensitivity setting. An apparatus, system, and computer program product for performing a similar method are also provided.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for synchronously processing dual belt materials. A dual-belt-material feeder is used for feeding, and a dual-belt-material mold is used for punching. The dual-belt-material feeder (1) comprises a moving feeding device (11), a fixed feeding device (13) and two guide frames (14). The dual-belt-material mold comprises two punching molds. The beneficial effects of the method for synchronously processing dual belt materials are that: the method can be used for producing thin wall miniature assembly parts in a single line and assembling the thin wall miniature assembly parts on line, so that problems caused by that the thin wall miniature assembly parts are produced in two production lines can be avoided.

    Abstract: An ultra-high molecular weight, ultra-fine particle size polyethylene has a viscosity average molecular weight (Mv) greater than 1×106. Using the polyethylene as a basic polyethylene, a grafted polyethylene can be obtained by means of a solid-phase grafting method; and a glass fiber-reinforced polyethylene composition comprising the polyethylene and glass fibers, and a sheet or pipe prepared therefrom; a solubilized ultra-high molecular weight, ultra-fine particle size polyethylene; and a fiber and a film prepared from the solubilized ultra-high molecular weight, ultra-fine particle size polyethylene may also be obtained. The method has simple steps, is easy to control, has a relatively low cost and a high repeatability, and can realize industrialisation.

    Abstract: Method of constructing a vault of a large storage tank for liquefied natural gas by first modeling the vault with a 3-D modeling software application, then partially building the vault with a framework and a first set of covering panels fixed on the framework where the panels do not touch each other, but leave a number of gaps between them, measuring the dimensions of the actual gaps between the panels using a 3-D scanner, producing a second set of panels according to the scanned dimensional data, and finally filled the gaps between the first set of panels with the second set of panels, which are much smaller than the first set of panels, making the building process earlier and more accurate, which are difficult issues in building large tanks for liquefied natural gas.

One accelerometer is installed in an axial direction of a drilling tool and forms n sets of three-axis orthogonal installation together with other 2n accelerometers. The accelerometer installed in the axial direction measures Az?, and the remaining accelerometers respectively measure n X-axis radial components and n Y-axis radial components corresponding to the n X-axis radial components. A filter and a data processing unit are integrated on the circuit board. The circuit board acquires signals in which the components are eliminated by the accelerators in real time, and further high-frequency vibration and impact interference in the signals are filtered out by using the filter to obtain non-interference gravitational acceleration components Ax, Ay and Az, and further a well deviation angle is calculated.
