  • Publication number: 20100176229
Abstract: This specification discloses a bin full detector for shredder. A bin full detector is disposed in the bottom of the shredder housing at a position not lower than the blade set of the shredder. The bin full detector includes at least one emitted for emitting an infrared beam downward to the paper chips and at least one receiver for receiving the reflected signal. The feedback signals from chips of different distances or heights are converted into different voltages and sent to a signal processing circuit. A microcontroller analyzes, computes, and compares the signals. Finally, a displaying unit shows to the user whether the paper chips in the bin need to be emptied.

  • Patent number: 7427855
Abstract: A circuit for testing an inrush current of a power supply includes a rectifier (10), a capacitor (30), and an ammeter (90). The rectifier includes input terminals (1) adapted to connect with an AC supply (Vin), and output terminals (3) adapted to supply a direct voltage. The capacitor is connected in parallel to the output terminals of the rectifier. The ammeter is connected between the capacitor and the power supply. The capacitor is charged by the AC supply via the rectifier. When the voltage of the capacitor reaches a pre-determined value, the capacitor supplies energy to the power supply, and the ammeter measures the magnitude of the inrush current.

  • Publication number: 20080211964
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically determining a TV standard of a TV channel comprises a frequency identification module and a determination module. The frequency identification module identifies a carrier frequency of an audio IF signal of the TV channel to generate a frequency identification result. The determination module, which coupled to the frequency identification module, determines the TV standard of the TV channel according to the frequency identification result.

  • Publication number: 20080151838
Abstract: Provided are system and method for performing access screening in a CDMA network. In one embodiment, the method comprises comparing a strength of a reference pilot specified in an origination message (“ORM”) received from the mobile unit to at least one of an upper pilot strength threshold (“UPST”) and a lower pilot strength threshold (“LPST”); responsive to the reference pilot strength failing to exceed the LPST, redirecting the mobile unit; responsive to the reference pilot strength exceeding the LPST but failing to exceed the UPST, determining whether an additional pilot is reported having a strength greater than that of the reference pilot; and responsive to a determination that no additional pilot is reported having a strength greater than that of the reference pilot, redirecting the mobile unit.

  • Patent number: 7219456
Abstract: A simulator for providing a user with a simulated burning log display having a generated flickering flame image. The flame image is generated by rotating a shaft with a helically wound light array such that the lights reflect off of a flame shaped mirror onto a partially transparent screen so as to give the impression to a viewer of flickering flames appearing on a front side of the screen and behind a non burning pile of logs.

  • Publication number: 20060293581
Abstract: An imaging marker comprised of glass and iron-containing aluminum microspheres in a gel matrix which shows uniformly good contrast with MR, US and X-Ray imaging. The marker is small and can be easily introduced into tissue through a 12-gauge biopsy needle. The concentration of glass microspheres and the size dictate the contrast for US imaging. The contrast seen in MRI resulting from susceptibility losses is dictated by the number of iron-containing aluminum microspheres; while the artifact of the marker also depends on its shape, orientation and echo time. By optimizing the size, iron concentration and gel binding, an implantable tissue marker is created which is clearly visible with all three imaging modalities.

  • Patent number: 6709133
Abstract: An anti-slip fluorescent electronic energy-saving lamp comprises a fluorescent tube or bulb and a lamp cabinet within which the electronic parts are installed. The outer shell of the lamp cabinet is of a surface of revolution, on which an anti-slip ring is mounted. The anti-slip ring is made of anti-slip materials and the ring sectional plane of the anti-slip ring is in parallel with the circular sectional plane of the outer shell of the lamp cabinet. Thanks to the anti-slip ring mounted outside the outer shell of the lamp cabinet, the fluorescent electronic energy-saving lamp of the present invention is easy to grasp and will not be easily to fall to the ground and break into pieces in installation and usage. Since the anti-slip ring is made of rubber or plastic, it can be made into various colors, which is helpful for identification and decoration.

  • Publication number: 20020006181
Abstract: The present invention provides an in situ, low dose and noninvasive method and device for estimating bone mineral content of trabecular bones, particularly the calcaneus. The method of estimating bone mineral content involves measuring the intensity of X-rays backscattered from the calcaneus and estimating the calcium content from this intensity. In one embodiment the X-ray source is a small x-ray tube that provides a continuous energy spectrum of X-rays. The intensity of backscattered X-rays from the soft tissue covering the trabecular bone, preferably the calcaneus, is compensated for by directly measuring the thickness of the soft tissue. Alternatively the soft tissue thickness can be measured directly along with the bone mineral content from the backscattered X-rays by measuring intensity over an energy range and correlating these results with a model of backscattering from a trabecular bone covered with a layer of soft tissue.
