Abstract: Wireless CPE and an access method therefor are provided. The wireless CPE includes a control subsystem, an access subsystem, and an interface and control module arranged therebetween. The interface and control module is configured to provide a communication link between the control subsystem and the access subsystem when no master equipment accesses the interface and control module, otherwise, disconnect the communication link between the control subsystem and the access subsystem and provide a communication link between the access subsystem and master equipment. Thus, some users can exclusively enjoy wireless broadband resources while some users use wired broadband resources without additional cost.

Abstract: A mobile terminal, a master data communication device and a mobile terminal charging system and method are provided. The method includes that: a mobile terminal determines whether or not a power supply device is a master data communication device and, if so, determines an appropriate charging mode for charging the mobile terminal. The disclosure not only enables a mobile terminal to select a plurality of adjustable charging modes to charge the mobile terminal but also enables the terminal to select a most appropriate charging mode to charging the mobile terminal, thus improving the charging efficiency.

Abstract: An improved system and method for updating search advertisements during search results navigation is provided. A search server may return search results from a search query with executable instructions that monitor events selecting a web page in the search results. When a web page may be selected in the search results on the client, a request that includes an address of a web page selected from the search results may be sent from the client to an advertiser server to update sponsored advertisements displayed in a sponsored advertisement area of the search results web page. The advertisement server may select an update of sponsored advertisements using query features, user features and web page features of the web page selected from the search results web page. The update may be sent to the client for display in the sponsored advertisement area of the search results web page.

Abstract: A system and method for dynamically targeting advertisements based on content-in-view of a web page. The system includes an extraction module for extracting a plurality of keywords from at least one content area associated with a web page. The web page is presented to a user in response to a search request. An approximation module generates an approximated view of the portion of the web page currently being viewed by the user. In turn, one or more advertisements are selected to be displayed to the user based on content associated with the approximated view.

Abstract: A method and system to display a targeted online advertisement to a targeted online user based on offline behavior profiles. The method include techniques for identifying offline behavior aspects of the online user through a variety of databases, including databases of physical sites visited, databases of transactions and amounts, databases pertaining to retail loyalty cards and databases hosting occurrence of real world events. Techniques employed for codifying offline behavior include classifying behavior into categories or groups, categorizing behavior by location of an event, size of expenditure, nature of event, frequency of event, and/or periodicity of event. Having established some codified offline behavior of the online user, the system proceeds by correlating some aspect of user's offline behavior to some aspect of an online advertisement.

Abstract: An improved system and method for online advertising using user social information is provided. An advertising demand engine may be provided for selecting advertisements using user social information and online behavior to serve to a user for display. A social network engine may be provided for constructing a plurality of networks of correlated users from social network information and online behavior. These networks may be updated with additional online behavior. An advertisement previously selected by a user or by other users belonging to a network constructed using social information and online behavior may be sent to users belonging to the same network in response to a request to serve an advertisement. In other embodiments, a ranked list of advertisements selected by users in multiple networks may be determined, and advertisements may then be sent to users from the ranked list of advertisements.

Abstract: This patent discloses a method to display an online advertisement to a user. The online advertisement may include an object ad profile, at least one user ad profile, and a users personal profile. The method may determine whether to display the online advertisement to the user by comparing at least one of (i) a personal profile of the user and an ad profile of the user to at least one of (ii) the object ad profile, the at least one user ad profile, and the users personal profile.
