  • Publication number: 20260128297
Abstract: An electrode for a lithium-carbon dioxide battery is disclosed, as well as a method to synthesize an electrode for a lithium-carbon dioxide battery. The electrode includes an electrocatalyst which may include a manganese-based transition metal oxide, where the electrocatalyst is supported by a carbon cloth. The electrocatalyst is nanostructured, in the form of a nanosheet, and the manganese-based transition metal oxide has a chemical formula of AMn2O4, in which A is selected from nickel, zinc, or cobalt. The electrocatalyst has a dimension of from about 1 nm to about 100 nm. The electrocatalyst may include a crystal structure including a spinel phase. Methods include preparing a metal hydroxide precursor having a manganese-based transition metal oxide, precipitating the metal hydroxide precursor onto a carbon cloth, calcinating the metal hydroxide precursor onto the carbon cloth, and forming a manganese-based transition metal electrode for a lithium-carbon dioxide battery.

  • Publication number: 20220244379
Abstract: A method for classifying objects in the surroundings of a vehicle using ultrasonic sensors which emit ultrasonic pulses and receive ultrasonic echoes reflected by objects. Distances between the sensors and objects reflecting ultrasonic pulses are ascertained via at least two ultrasonic sensors including overlapping fields of vision, and a position determination of the reflecting objects taking place using lateration and the assignment of the received ultrasonic echoes to object hypotheses for distinguishing between extensive objects and point-like objects.

  • Publication number: 20220035029
Abstract: A method for evaluating an effect of an object in the surroundings of a transport device on a driving maneuver of the transport device. The method includes: ascertaining a first distance between the object and a first position of the transport device with the aid of a first ultrasonic sensor of the transport device; ascertaining a second distance between the object and a second position of the transport device different from the first position, using the first ultrasonic sensor of the transport device; calculating a change between the first distance and the second distance with regard to a path, which corresponds to a distance traveled between the first position and the second position of the transport device; and taking into account or not taking into account the object during the execution of the driving maneuver of the transport device as a function of a result of the calculation.

  • Publication number: 20210162991
Abstract: A method for avoiding a collision of a vehicle with an obstacle, using at least one ultrasonic sensor. Reflection points are determined during a movement of the vehicle, the reflection points representing locations at which a signal of an ultrasonic sensor was reflected. The reflection points are combined into contiguous, linearly extending wall sections, a wall section having two ends. Furthermore, it is determined whether an end of a wall section is open or closed. The progression abutting an open end of a wall section is extrapolated, and virtual collision points between the vehicle and the extrapolated progression of the wall sections are ascertained. An initiation of a brake intervention follows if a collision with a virtual collision point is imminent. A driver assistance system including at least one ultrasonic sensor configured to carry out the method, and a vehicle including such a driver assistance system, are also described.
