    Abstract: The present invention provides a side-edge backlight module including a light guide plate having first and second mounting sides opposite to each other. The first mounting side forms a first positioning hole, a first positioning slot, and a second positioning slot. The second mounting side forms correspondingly a second positioning hole, a third positioning slot, and a fourth positioning slot. A backplane includes six rivet pins respectively received in the first and second positioning holes and the first, second, third, and fourth positioning slots. The first and second positioning slots and the third and fourth positioning slots are of a right-angled trapezoidal shape having a straight side that is open and an inclined side that is inclined downward in a direction toward the first or second positioning hole. The rivet pins received in the first, second, third, and fourth positioning slots respectively abut against the inclined sides of the trapezoids.

The backlight module comprises an LED and a backplane, wherein the backlight module also comprises a heatsink plate arranged on the outer of the backplane; and the LED is linked with the heatsink plate in the mode of heat conduction. The utility model, by arranging the LED on an extra heatsink plate which is arranged on the outer of the backplane, dissipates outward the heat emitted by the LED through the heatsink plate, lowers the temperature of the backlight cavity, and protects the optical components. At the same time, because the backplane is not directly used to dissipate heat, the gradient of temperature distribution on the backplane is reduced, thus, the gradient of temperature distribution in the backlight cavity is reduced and stress of the backlight cavity induced by the temperature gradient is also reduced.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a light guide plate and a side-edge backlight module using the light guide plate. The light guide plate includes a plurality of air barrier walls formed therein. The air barrier walls divide the light guide plate into a plurality of sections. With the arrangement of air barrier walls between independent sections of the light guide plate according to the present invention, by means of total reflection, light incident into each independent section is blocked from penetrating through the air gaps and is thus confined within the independent section. Thus, brightness sectioning and independent control of sectionalized brightness of the light guide plate can be realized and improved light isolation result, improved yield, being mass producible, and low cost can be achieved. The side-edge backlight module uses the light guide plate so as to realize brightness sectioning and independent control of sectionalized brightness of the backlight module.

    Abstract: A backlight module and a liquid crystal display device are provided. The backlight module at least comprises a light source assembly and a light guide plate. The light source assembly provides multiple groups of parallel incident beams having different intensity. A light incidence surface is used to receive the parallel incident beams and then refract them to be multiple groups of parallel refracted beams. The parallel refracted beams can directly arrive at a bottom surface, and be emitted out from a light-emitting surface after reflected and dispersed by the bottom surface. There forms an included angle between a normal of the light incidence surface and the parallel incident beams, and the included angle is an acute angle. The backlight module and the liquid crystal display device of the present invention can reduce the reflection times of light in the light guide plate for improving the light use efficiency.
