Abstract: An active capacitive stylus and methods for touch detection and feedback actuation thereof are disclosed. The active capacitive stylus includes a conductive tip, a signal processing module and a capacitor. The conductive tip is configured to detect a touch-screen actuation signal emitted from a touch screen and to transfer a feedback actuation signal output from the signal processing module. The signal processing module is configured to process the touch-screen actuation signal received by the conductive tip and to synchronously produce the feedback actuation signal. The capacitor is disposed between the conductive tip and the signal processing module and is configured to couple the touch-screen actuation signal obtained by the conductive tip to an input of the signal processing module during the detection and to isolate the feedback actuation signal during the feedback actuation. It is achievable to accurately determine the position of the conductive tip of the active capacitive stylus.

Abstract: A method for preparation of a high-density hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) ceramic material is disclosed. According to the method, the surface of hBN powder is coated with an evenly-dispersed SiO2 nanoparticle layer using tetraethyl orthosilicate as a precursor, and then the high-density hBN ceramic material is obtained by pressureless sintering. The relative density of the prepared hBN ceramic material is over 80%.

Abstract: A method for preparing a titanium nitride-titanium diboride-cubic boron nitride composite material is disclosed. Titanium powder and cubic boron nitride raw powders are mixed by a planetary ball milling method, and then the titanium nitride-titanium diboride-cubic boron nitride composite material is prepared through the steps of wet mixing, drying, sieving, pre-sintering through a high-temperature vacuum furnace, cold isostatic press molding and high-temperature sintering.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of implementing a redundant network. Ring network nodes in an initial state are set as master stations, ring ports are set in a half-blocked state, a master station election notification message is broadcast to the ring ports within a preset time interval, the nodes receive the master station election notification message, a node quality comparison vector is compared with node quality comparison vectors of the nodes to elect a master and standby stations, one of the ring ports is in the half-blocked state, the other ring ports are in a forwarding state, the master station broadcasts the master station election notification message to the ring ports, the standby master station stops sending the master station election notification message, the ring ports are in the forwarding state, and the message sent by the master station is received.

Abstract: A control method for a refrigerator includes supplying water to an ice making unit, determining if the water supply is normal, if the water supply is normal, entering an ice making mode, and if the water supply is abnormal, entering a hold mode. The determination as to whether or not the water supply is normal is carried out by determining if the water supply is normal according to a temperature change value of an ice making unit before and after the water supply. A refrigerator carrying out the method is also provided.

Abstract: The invention is a system and method to measure oil content in water utilizing the fluorescence of oil emitted under excitation by laser. Oil and water mixture is transferred through the system to a measurement section in a microscope, which produces high resolution 3-dimensional images of the oil and water mixture with the fluorescence. The images are analyzed to calculate the amount of oil in water and oil droplets distribution. The image is also analyzed to distinguish oil coated solids from oil droplets, and to calculate the sizes and volumes of the solids.

Abstract: A graphene oxide adsorbent for removing dissolved substances from water or other liquids comprises a substrate having a coating layer of graphene oxide. The dissolved substances may be dissolved heavy metals, radioactive compounds, or other organic and inorganic substances. The substrates may be particulate substrates. The substrates may be adsorbents. The graphene oxide adsorbents can be beneficially used in filters and batch reactors, among other devices, for water treatment and for environmental remediation.

Abstract: Regasification systems and processes for converting liquid natural gas (LNG) from a liquid into a gaseous state are described. The process includes a closed-loop system that uses geothermal wells as a heat source. A warming fluid circulates through the closed-loop system coupled with a geothermal well and a LNG heat exchanger. The warming fluid is heated as it passes through the geothermal well and cooled as it passes through the LNG heat exchanger, thus heating and gasifying the LNG. The cooled warming fluid then returns to the geothermal well. The closed-loop system minimizing environmental impact by eliminating the need to discharge the warming fluid.
