  • Publication number: 20240068192
Abstract: An in-situ dynamic settlement test bench and method for the foundation soil is provided. The in-situ dynamic settlement test bench includes a vibration table system, a sensor embedded in the foundation soil, and a water injection trench around the foundation soil. A horizontal vibration load is applied to the lower foundation soil at an in-situ testing site by means of a vibration table, and the dynamic response of the foundation soil is measured through the sensors embedded in different positions, to reflect the seismic settlement deformation of the soil body. Dynamic settlement tests on soils include indoor dynamic simple shear, triaxial and torsional shear tests. A method is proposed for measuring the dynamic response and settlement deformation of the foundation soil by using a vibrator's vibration action on an in-situ soil column. Measurements of the acceleration response and seismic settlement deformation are taken for the foundation soil under in-situ condition.

  • Publication number: 20100042830
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for controlling the consumption limit date of a digital content which is transferred from distribution means (100) to a consuming device (120) during a temporary connection to be consumed on that device until the limit date, the distribution means (100) having a clock (104), called a reference clock, the value of which at each instant is called the true date. According to this invention, each time the consuming device connects to the distribution means (100), a signal including the true date is transmitted from the distribution means (100) to the consuming device (120) by a secured method to verify that the consumption limit date is not exceeded.

  • Patent number: 7493024
Abstract: A communication network performs a method of managing recordings. The communication network comprises a plurality of audiovisual terminals furnished with recording means. The method comprises determining the most adapted terminal among the plurality for recording a specific document. Values of fit are calculated from attributes associated with the document and attributes associated with each terminal. The terminal whose value of fit is the greatest is selected and used for recording this document. The morality of the document and the maximum level of morality accessible from the terminal being compared in order to barre the recording of the document in a terminal if the morality level of this document is higher than the morality level of this terminal.

  • Publication number: 20050158017
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling recording within a communication network. The communication network comprises audiovisual terminals provided with means for recording audio or audiovisual documents. The method comprises the following steps:—a) calculation of a value representing the compatibility of recording between the document and a terminal, b) reiteration of step a), calculating a compatibility value for each terminal selection of the device with the greatest compatibility value for recording the document. According to a refinement of the invention the calculation of the compatibility value takes account of attributes associated with the terminal and associated with the document.

  • Publication number: 20040139064
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for navigating around a set of multimedia documents with the aid of a user interface: the navigator. A current document is firstly selected. Next, the navigator utilizes the descriptive data related to the documents and determines groups of documents possessing descriptive data exhibiting similarities. The navigator presents on a screen the group containing all the documents including the current one and places the other groups as a function of their similarities with the current document. The user navigates by selecting one group then another, the navigator recalculates all the groups with each change of current document.

  • Patent number: 6762692
Abstract: The system includes a remote controlled apparatus furnished with a display device or adapted to be linked to such a device; a remote control device comprising a microphone; voice recognition circuit adapted to receive the signal emanating from the microphone and to generate a signal for controlling a functional feature of the apparatus corresponding to the word or group of words picked up by the microphone. The system comprises means for displaying on the said screen a list of the words or groups of words corresponding to the functional features of the apparatus which can be accessed by voice control in a window of the screen so as to enable the user to ascertain the key words which he has to utter in order to trigger these functional features.

  • Patent number: 6751594
Abstract: The device has a voice and/or manual user interface for accessing its functions. The functions are accessible through a hierarchy of menus in which the branches can be short-circuited by voice instructions referred to as voice short-cuts. According to the invention, means are provided for storing the sequences of interactions performed by the user and for detecting the cases in which a voice short-cut could have been used instead of the sequence of interactions. In this case, a message is sent to the user in order to inform him or her of the existence of the detected voice short-cut. The invention also relates to a process for aiding with learning the voice instructions of the device using the means above.

  • Publication number: 20040049794
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for managing recordings of data originating from a broadcasting network. The process analyses whether recording resources are available at the moment envisaged for executing the task envisaged, and as appropriate, for reporting the execution of this task during a next re-broadcasting of the data. An improvement consists in instigating a search for the equivalent resources, then instigating a negotiation with the current users of the resources when no equivalent resource is available. The invention also relates to a device and a centre for the implementation of the process.

  • Publication number: 20030206204
Abstract: The navigation within a set of multimedia documents is possible with the aid of a user interface: the navigator. A current document is firstly activated. Next, a descriptive data item indicative of this document is demarcated. When the user activates this descriptive data item, the navigator displays a new document. This new document possesses in common at least the same descriptive data item as that activated by the user. The invention also relates to a device able to execute a software navigation module, the said module making it possible to determine a document comprising at least the descriptive data item activated by the user. The invention also relates to a graphical interface making it possible to view multimedia documents.
