    Abstract: Disclosed is an adaptive control method applicable to an excavator. The adaptive control method includes: acquiring detection parameters of the excavator, the detection parameters comprising a displacement of an electric control handle of the excavator and angle information of the excavator; identifying a current working condition of the excavator based on the detection parameters; and adjusting control parameters of the excavator based on the current working condition. According to the adaptive control method provided by the present disclosure, the current working condition is identified by using the displacement of the electric control handle and the angle information of the excavator, and then the control parameters of the excavator are adjusted based on the current working condition, so that the control parameters are automatically adjusted with change of the current working condition, which improves control efficiency of the excavator.

    Abstract: One embodiment disclosed relates to a method of managing promotions. A determination is made that a promotion is activated, and a product database, including an entry with information on the promotion, is accessed. The promotion information is incorporated into a web page template. The promotion information is also incorporated into a screen template of an order management interface in synchronization with the incorporation into the web page template. In an exemplary embodiment, the TOMI screen template consolidates information for various promotions to a particular end-user type onto a single screen. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

In another embodiment, an apparatus for blocking a return of products from a customer, includes: a product return blocking system configured to receive an order to purchase a product by a customer, determine if a return of the purchased product should be approved or not be approved, and block the return of the purchased product in order to prevent the return of the purchased product if the return of the purchased product is not approved.

    Abstract: A method of creating and maintaining a shipping-charge database is provided. The method includes the steps of receiving a shipping-charge data set into a shipping-charge administration tool from the administrator client, the data set including a plurality of possible order price ranges, at least one shipping option for each price range, and a shipping charge for each shipping option, and causing the shipping-charge data set to be stored at a location exposed to a server for use in establishing a shipping charge for an on-line order in response to a price of the order and a shipping-option selection for the order. The method is extendable and may be used to create and maintain other databases, such as airline and hotel pricing databases.
