  • Publication number: 20240117388
Abstract: Enzymes and recombinant host cells for the biosynthesis of clinically important prenylated polyketides of the cannabinoid family are provided. Using readily available starting materials, heterologous enzymes (e.g., bacterial CoA-transferases and CoA-ligases) are used to direct cannabinoid biosynthesis in host cells such as recombinant yeast cells.

  • Patent number: 11914430
Abstract: A support apparatus for a flexible screen, a foldable display module and a display device. The support apparatus for the flexible screen includes a support portion and a driving assembly. The support portion includes a first support portion and a second support portion connected with the first support portion. The driving assembly includes a rotary shaft assembly and a linkage assembly connected with the rotary shaft assembly. The rotary shaft assembly includes a plurality of rotary shafts arranged in parallel. The second support portion is slidably provided on the rotary shaft assembly and can be bent or unfolded together with the rotary shaft assembly. When the rotary shaft assembly is bent, the first support portion is driven by the linkage assembly to move away from or close to the rotary shaft assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240013956
Abstract: The present invention provides a ring varistor for use in DC micromotor including a ring varistor substrate having nonlinear volt-ampere characteristics and at least three independent electrodes evenly sintered on an end face of the ring varistor substrate. The electrode gap between two adjacent electrodes consists of two straight parallel edges of the two adjacent electrodes, and an inner and an outer concentric arc on the substrate ring, the electrode gap is not orthogonal to the ring. Due to the asymmetry arrangement of the surface electrodes and the electrode gaps, the electrode materials and the substrate materials with different thermal conductivity have no contact cross distribution with each other at the radial electrode gap. During welding, the heat shock is transmitted asymmetrically through the asymmetric electrodes, to improve the uniformity of the heat conduction distribution of the varistor and reduce the defective rate of the substrate welding fracture.

  • Patent number: 11821019
Abstract: Multi-carbon compounds such as ethanol, n-butanol, sec-butanol, isobutanol, tert-butanol, fatty (or aliphatic long chain) alcohols, fatty acid methyl esters, 2,3-butanediol and the like, are important industrial commodity chemicals with a variety of applications. The present invention provides metabolically engineered host microorganisms which metabolize methane (CH4) as their sole carbon source to produce multi-carbon compounds for use in fuels (e.g., bio-fuel, bio-diesel) and bio-based chemicals. Furthermore, use of the metabolically engineered host microorganisms of the invention (which utilize methane as the sole carbon source) mitigate current industry practices and methods of producing multi-carbon compounds from petroleum or petroleum-derived feedstocks, and ameliorate much of the ongoing depletion of arable food source “farmland” currently being diverted to grow bio-fuel feedstocks, and as such, improve the environmental footprint of future bio-fuel, bio-diesel and bio-based chemical compositions.

  • Patent number: 10256512
Abstract: Systems and control devices for charging and discharging a lithium-ion battery and relevant methods are provided. A variable frequency triggering oscillation charge-discharge device constructs an oscillation loop with a lithium-ion battery using an inherent impedance characteristic of the lithium-ion battery to charge and/or discharge the lithium-ion battery in the form of an oscillation current generated by the oscillation loop, to avoid direct current (DC) charge-discharge for the lithium-ion battery or battery pack that causes polarization and lithium precipitation of the lithium. Accordingly, the lithium-ion battery has longer battery life, higher charging threshold voltage, higher charge, and controlled internal temperature increase. Thus, the suitable temperature range for the lithium-ion battery is broadened.
