  • Publication number: 20240106533
Abstract: Device and methods for real-time polarization-dependent loss monitoring at coherent transceivers. In one embodiment, there is provided a method of monitoring a polarization dependent loss (PDL) of a signal during transmission through an optical communication link, the method comprising: receiving the signal by a coherent receiver, the received signal being subjected to one or more impairments in Amplifier Gain Control (AGC) mode, the one or more impairments including PDL; estimating an AGC gain effect of the AGC mode; compensating for the AGC gain effect in the received signal; determining the PDL from the compensated signal; and reporting the PDL.

  • Patent number: 11930475
Abstract: A wireless terminal determines a tracking area code (TAC) from a geographic position of the wireless terminal. From the TAC, the wireless terminal determines the tracking area identity based on an indication from the network-side regarding whether or not geographic position based tracking area identity determination is to be used or not. In some implementations, the network-side is a satellite cell that is configured to provide wireless connectivity to the wireless terminal.

  • Publication number: 20220164323
Abstract: A distributed storage system includes table controllers collectively storing partitions of a logical table having multiple rows. For each of the partitions, a corresponding table controller stores a subset of the rows of the logical table across individual pages. A management controller updates a schema of the logical table from a first to a second schema definition by, for each of the partitions, sending an update command indicating the second schema definition to the corresponding table controller. The first table controller corresponds to a first partition that includes a first subset of the rows. The first table controller, prior to receiving the update command, includes an identifier of the first schema definition within each page of data for the first subset. Subsequent to receiving the update command, the first table controller, when writing each new page of data for the first subset, includes an identifier of the second schema definition.

  • Publication number: 20200307040
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for manufacturing a polyurethane concrete sandwich component. The inventive method, keeping the transformation of the production flows of the present technology to the minimum, can rapidly form a seamless insulating layer system. The inventive method can prevent the condensation of water vapor between the seams of the insulating board, avoid water percolation and leakage of the walls after the building is finished, and avoid the corrosion of connecting elements and connecting steel bars due to moisture attacks. This invention also relates to a polyurethane concrete sandwich component, which is prepared from the method according to the present invention.
