    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing azoxystrobin. This method uses a pentacyclic azole-based compound or a salt thereof, preferably 1-methylimidazole or pentetrazol, as a catalyst to prepare azoxystrobin, which can greatly reduce dimer impurities, improving the purity of the product. Moreover, the catalyst is cheap and easy to be synthesized, and can significantly reduce production costs, thus having good industrial application value.
