Patent number: 9442936Abstract: A Cooperative Grid Based Picture Archiving and Communication System (Grid PACS for short) is a multimedia (imaging) medical information archiving, communication and application system used in hospitals. Based on the existing PACS servers, workstations, or other networked multimedia image management systems, it adds and integrates grid-based network functionality into the existing image systems to form new grid-based image communication and management system. It uses service-oriented and event-driven concepts and methods to design and implement a new grid-based image communication and management system to solve the problems encountered in distributing archived image information, coordinating work and managing in a virtually centralized way (Virtual Super-PACS) of different PACS or archiving systems under varied operating environments.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2014Date of Patent: September 13, 2016Assignee: Axon Medical Technologies Corp.Inventors: Jianguo Zhang, Yuanyuan Yang, Jin Jin, Jianyong Sun

Patent number: 9129361Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for visually indexing medical data about a patient by generating an image for presentation to a user depicting a subset of the patient's body parts, with body parts having associated diagnostic data highlighted. A user may then select a highlighted body part and be presented with some or all of the associated diagnostic data. The user may manipulate the presented image, which is derived from a three dimensional model, to rotate it or zoom is to expose more body parts, or more detailed body parts depicting child body parts associated with the diagnostic data. The system or method may employ a patient index comprising a hierarchical graph with nodes corresponding to body parts and associated with diagnostic data for those body parts.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2011Date of Patent: September 8, 2015Inventors: Jianguo Zhang, Wenjie Dong, Weiling Zheng, Jianyong Sun

Patent number: 7529908Abstract: A system, method and tangible medium for unified exception handling with distributed exception identification includes a packet processing pipeline with at least two processing stages for processing data packets, each of the data packets being processed having an associated exception map in a memory of the apparatus. An exception detector at each processing stage detects whether any exception conditions apply to the data packet at the processing stage, and if so, a bit setter sets, modifies, or resets one or more bits in the exception map associated with exception conditions detected at the processing stage. An exception handler processes the exception map in response to the state of in the exception map after all the processing stages are complete.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2006Date of Patent: May 5, 2009Assignee: Cisco Technology, INc.Inventors: Harish R. Patent number: 7472911Abstract: The present invention relates to leak preventing gaskets contemplated for use with segmented pipe couplings, which include a pair of coupling segments adapted to receive a gasket which surrounds a pair of pipe ends to join pipes together or to join a nipple or fitting. The couplings contemplated for use with the gasket of the invention includes types adapted to attach grooved and flare end pipes, or non-grooved pipes in sealed relation to withstand fluids at temperatures up to 230° F. and higher, and at pressures of up to 1,000 psi. The ring-type gasket of the present invention is made of an elastomeric material such as synthetic or natural rubber or combinations thereof, preferably, ethylene polypropylene diene monomer, commonly referred to as “EPDM”. The gasket provides improved sealing through a pair of sealing flanges having relative planar and expansive inner walls, shorter sealing lips, and particular dimensional relationships with the grooved pipe ends.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2004Date of Patent: January 6, 2009Assignee: Victaulic CompanyInventors: Jianyong Sun, Lawrence W. Thau, Jr.

Publication number: 20070040336Abstract: The present invention relates to leak preventing gaskets contemplated for use with segmented pipe couplings, which generally include a pair of coupling segments adapted to receive a gasket which surrounds a pair of pipes to join the pipes together or to join a nipple or fitting to the pipe by tightening a pair of bolts and related fasteners with a corresponding pair of bolt pads on the segments. The couplings contemplated for use with the gasket of the present invention includes types which are adapted to attach grooved and flared end pipes, or non-grooved pipes in sealed relation to withstand fluid at temperatures up to and including 230° F. and higher, and at pressures of up to 1,000 psi. Although such pipes generally conduct water up to about 230° F., they may also be used for toxic and volatile chemicals.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2004Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventors: Jianyong Sun, Lawrence Thau Jr

Patent number: 7062641Abstract: Unified exception handling may be provided by processing a data packet through at least two pipelined processing stages in a data packet processor such as a switch, router, bridge, or similar network device, each of the data packets having associated with it (while it is being processed) an exception map disposed in a memory of the network device. The bits in the exception map are set, modified, or reset in response to exception conditions detected at the various processing stages. After the packet has been fully processed, an exception handler takes as an input the exception map and further processes the packet in response to the state of the exception map.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2001Date of Patent: June 13, 2006Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Harish R. Publication number: 20040239115Abstract: A coupling for joining pipe segments together is disclosed. The coupling is derived from a standard fitting and has a housing with a socket and an expanded region adjacent to the socket. Three shoulders are positioned within the expanded region. A sealing member and two support washers are positioned within the expanded region, each engaging a shoulder. A retainer is positioned in the expanded region between the two support washers. A lip, positioned at the end of the expanded region, extends radially inwardly and captures the sealing member, washers and retainer within the coupling. The retainer has a plurality of radial teeth angularly oriented to engage a pipe and prevent its removal from the coupling. One of the washers is kept in spaced relation from the other washer by a shoulder to prevent contact with the retainer upon assembly which may otherwise inhibit the teeth engaging the pipe.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2004Publication date: December 2, 2004Applicant: Victaulic Company of AmericaInventors: Charles E.
