    Abstract: A system, method and apparatus of connecting a device to a host computer are provided. A host computer detects a connection of a device. The host computer loads a default driver. The default driver establishes a default communication link between the device and the host computer. The host computer identifies the device and loads a device-specific driver. The device-specific driver is stored in a device memory.
