    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for quantifying a bearing capacity of foundation containing shallow-hidden spherical cavities, comprising: in Step 1, constructing a spatial axisymmetric calculation model for stability analysis of the foundation containing shallow-hidden spherical cavities; in Step 2, solving the model to obtain a general solution which reflects the spatial stress distribution of surrounding rock containing shallow-hidden spherical cavities; in Step 3, obtain a mathematical expression by derivation for calculating the bearing capacity of the foundation containing shallow-hidden spherical cavities; and in Step 4: completing the determination of the foundation bearing capacity. Benefits: This method has many advantages such as comprehensive consideration, high accuracy and reliability of calculation results, and may provide the scientific basis for the development of prevention and control against the instability of the foundation containing shallow-hidden cavities.

    Abstract: A heating, ventilation, or air conditioning (HVAC) system for a building includes one or more processing circuits having one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media containing program instructions. When executed by the one or more processors, the instructions cause the one or more processors to perform operations including providing an optimization function for operating HVAC equipment over a future time period including a plurality of time steps and using the optimization function to generate a time series of temperature setpoints for the plurality of time steps in the future time period. The time series of temperature setpoints achieve a target value of the optimization function over the future time period. The operations include operating the HVAC equipment to drive indoor air temperature toward a first temperature setpoint of the time series of temperature setpoints for a first time step of the plurality of time steps.

The temperature setpoints achieve a target value of the cost function over the future time period. The building management system also includes a controller configured to operate the HVAC equipment to drive the indoor air temperature towards the temperature setpoint.

    Abstract: A magnetically driven hopping soft robot based on magnetically programmed temperature-sensitive hydrogels includes first moving bodies and a second moving body. Several first moving bodies are distributed evenly on a bottom portion of the second moving body. The first moving bodies are made of a temperature-responsive hydrogel containing magnetic particles. An alternating magnetic field is applied to the first moving bodies to cause the first moving bodies to deform due to magnetocaloric effect. The first moving bodies have a two-layered structure. A first layer is made of a double-network cross-linked hydrogel and a second layer is made of a magnetic temperature-responsive hydrogel with added magnetic nanoparitcles. An alternating magnetic field is applied to the first moving bodies in a manner that an amount of deformation of the second layer is greater than that of the first layer. The second layer is made of a temperature-responsive hydrogel with added magnetic nanoparticles.

    Abstract: A dual-power-source dual driving assembly for a vehicle, includes two driving units that are symmetrically provided and connected to a same one set of vehicle axle half shaft. Each driving units is provided with a power source and an automatic transmission that are each connected to one half shaft of the vehicle axle half shaft. Moreover, each automatic transmission is provided with an input shaft, an intermediate shaft and an output shaft that are parallel. The three shafts have multiple gear stages with different transmission ratios, the power source is connected to the input shaft, and the output shaft is connected to a left or right half shaft of the vehicle axle half shaft. The dual driving assembly provides a transmission with two speed ratios, which results in flexible transmission modes, and shortens the axial dimension of the driving assembly.

    Abstract: A random distributed Rayleigh feedback fiber laser based on a double-cladding weakly ytterbium-doped fiber includes: a pump laser source, a pump combiner, a cladding power stripper, and a double-cladding weakly ytterbium-doped fiber for simultaneously achieving distributed active gain and random distributed Rayleigh feedback. An output end of the pump combiner is connected with one end of the double-cladding weakly ytterbium-doped fiber, the other end of the double-cladding weakly ytterbium-doped fiber is connected with an input end of the cladding power stripper, and a concentration of ytterbium ions in the double-cladding weakly ytterbium-doped fiber is in a range of 0.5×1023 to 1×1025/m3. The laser provided by the present invention solves the problem that the existing random fiber lasers cannot simultaneously utilize distributed active gain and random distributed Rayleigh feedback with a single type of fiber.
