    Abstract: The present application discloses a drill bit nozzle, which includes a nozzle body, a channel in the nozzle body, and a nozzle outlet arranged at an end of the nozzle body and in communication with the channel. The nozzle outlet is a strip-shaped outlet configured to eject a sheet-like jet flow. Since the nozzle outlet of the drill bit nozzle is a strip-shaped outlet, the nozzle outlet is able to eject a sheet-like jet flow. When the drill bit nozzle is applied to a PDC drill bit, the drill bit nozzle can uniformly eject a drilling fluid onto each cutting tooth, which ensures that the cutting teeth in the drill bit may obtain good cooling and chip removal effects, while avoiding excessive concentration of the jet flow from the drill bit nozzle which may erode the cutting teeth, thereby prolonging the service life of the drill bit.

The body is specially formed from WC—Co and has a Co content of equal to or less than about 10 weight percent based on the total weight of the WC—Co, a coefficient of thermal expansion that is less than about 5×10?6/° C., a Palmqvist toughness greater than about 180 kg/mm, and a hardness equal to or greater than about 88 HRA. In an example, the WC has an average particle size of about 1 to 5 micrometers, the Co content is from about 7 to 9 weight percent, the coefficient of thermal expansion is from about 4 to 5×10?6/° C., the Palmqvist toughness is from about 200 to 300 kg/mm, and the hardness is in the range of from about 88 to 90 HRA.

    Abstract: A rolling cone bit and a cutting insert for a rolling cone are disclosed. The insert includes an undulating cutting surface including a peak, and blades radiating therefrom. The cutting insert may include an ultrahard layer of diamond or other superabrasive material, wherein the outer cutting surface of the layer includes contours that generally correspond to the contours of the interface surface that is between the ultrahard layer and the substrate so as to reduce residual stresses and lessen the likelihood of spalling or delamination of the ultrahard material. The blades radiate from a central peak and may include a sharper and/or higher leading edge as compared to a trailing edge. Valleys between the blades may differ in depth, and the cutting surface may have an undulating perimeter.
