  • Patent number: 11951472
Abstract: Systems, methods, compositions of matter, and kits for undermedia repellency are disclosed. In some cases, these involve a first volume of a first liquid presented in a second volume of a second liquid above a first location of a first surface. The first liquid, second liquid, and first location can have properties sufficient to give rise to undermedia perfect liquid repellency.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 15, 2018
Date of Patent: April 9, 2024
    Assignee: Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation
Inventors: Chao Li, Jiaquan Yu, Theodorus Evan de Groot, David James Beebe
  • Patent number: 11691145
Abstract: A platform and method for conducting multi-variable combinational interactions are provided. An array of multiplexing chambers in formed in a body. The body also includes a common well communicating with each multiplexing chamber of the array of multiplexing chambers and a plurality of variable wells. Each of variable wells communicates with at least one multiplexing chamber of the array of multiplexing chambers. The common well is loaded with a first variable and different variables are loaded in each of the plurality of variable wells. The interaction of the first variable with at least one of the different variables in each multiplexing chamber of the array of multiplexing chambers is observed.

  • Patent number: 10376890
Abstract: The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to a modular microfluidic device, the component comprising a channel comprising an apex opening, wherein the apex opening that is at least partially surrounded by a collar configured to pin a liquid within the channel. The modular microfluidic device may also have a structural tip in or near the apex opening which is configured to allow for the flow of the liquid into the channel from a second component for a modular microfluidic device when the component is engaged with the second component.
