  • Publication number: 20230319025
Abstract: Methods and systems for unique session number sharing to ensure traceability are discussed herein. According to an implementation, a user sends a request to login a browser from a user equipment to a server device. The server device validates a user credential associated with the browser by comparing the user credential with pre-stored user registration information. Once the user credential is validated, the server device generates a session with a unique session number (USN) with respect to the request. The server device generates a plurality of logs with respect to the activities occurred during the session and associates the USN with each of the multiple logs. The USN is further included in an access token that authorizes the user to access the websites hosted by the browser.

  • Patent number: 8432868
Abstract: The present invention takes the advantage of the WLAN resources in hotspots for voice and data connections and enables seamless handover between WWAN and WLAN and vice versa. This allows two users in the hotspots to communicate with each other by making a voice over IP (VoIP) or video call, thus achieving cost savings for the end users and WWAN resources savings for the wireless operators. According to one embodiment of the invention, a mobile terminal has wireless wide area network (WWAN) and wireless local area network (WLAN) interfaces. The mobile terminal via a WWAN. If a WLAN is present, the mobile terminal sends a handover request together with its network address to the called mobile terminal, using a short message service (SMS) technique or a watermarking technique, for initiating a WLAN call with the called mobile terminal via a WLAN. After the WLAN call is established with the called mobile terminal, the mobile terminal releases the WWAN call.

  • Patent number: 8412846
Abstract: The present invention provides a wireless network system that enables direct wireless delivery of a multimedia message from a first MMS user agent to a second MMS user agent. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, the wireless network system includes a MMS server that receives, from the first MMS user agent, a request to send a multimedia message to the second MMS user agent. The request includes an identification (ID) number of the second MMS user agent. From a core network, for example, the MMS server obtains an Internet address of the second MMS user agent based on the ID number of the second MMS user agent, if the ID number is not an Internet address of the second MMS user agent. Then the MMS server forwards the Internet address to the first MMS user agent to enable the first MMS user agent to wirelessly deliver the multimedia message directly to the second MMS user agent using the Internet address.

  • Patent number: 8151299
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of changing between a plurality N of distinct services, e.g. television channels, receivable on a receiving unit, such as a mobile phone/cellular phone, a personal digital assistant (PDA), a handheld television unit, or similar devices. The receiving unit is adapted to receive the plurality of services in a time slicing mode with services being arranged in a certain time slice sequence. The receiving unit is capable of receiving a first service (S1). When “zapping” from the first service to a second service, the second service (S4) being chosen is the currently next service in time within the time slice sequence so as to minimize the time (t2) between service changes. Thereby, a fast method of changing between services is provided in a simplified manner, the speed of change reaching the theoretical maximum when using time slicing.

  • Patent number: 8150162
Abstract: The present invention provides a 3D handwriting recognition system that allows users to freely write words or characters in a 3D space in a touchless manner, without requiring any physical medium such as a pad or a tablet. The users' handwriting input in a 3D space will be tracked by an input device of the system that generates corresponding 3D motion data and wirelessly transfers the 3D motion data to a recognition device of the system. The 3D motion data will be converted and then mapped onto a 2D plane to generate corresponding 2D images for handwriting recognition. In this way, the users' inputting will never be limited to any screen, pad or plane, and the users will have more flexibility and enjoyable writing experience.

  • Publication number: 20070037557
Abstract: The invention allows a portion of a multimedia message, usually the beginning part of the message to be delivered to and stored on a mobile terminal beforehand. When a user wants to view the message, the portion of the message stored locally will be played back immediately, while at the same time a user agent residing in the mobile terminal will contact a media server for the remaining contents using the streaming technology. This would give the user an impression that the whole message is stored locally since there is nearly no noticeable delay in the playback, thus providing a much better user experience. The partial contents down-loaded can be a portion of the whole multimedia message, or an muntrelated rich-media message provided by a third party as an advertisement. In this way, the usage of the local storage space on the mobile terminal will be much more efficient.

  • Publication number: 20060159344
Abstract: The present invention relates to three-dimensional (3D) handwriting recognition methods and systems. The present invention provides a 3D handwriting recognition method and corresponding system which allows to generate 3D motion data by tracking corresponding 3D motion, calculate corresponding 3D coordinates, construct corresponding 3D tracks, derive 2D projection plane based on some strokes 3D tracks of on character, and generate 2D image for handwriting recognition by mapping the 3D tracks onto the said 2D projection plane. The 3D handwriting recognition method according to the present invention can use the processing power of system more efficiently and highly improve the system performance. So that the system can get the final input result in a much shorter time after the user finishes writing a character without a long time waiting between two characters input, thus the user has more pleased and natural input experience.

  • Publication number: 20060125789
Abstract: The present invention provides an input device that gives users more flexibility and convenience by allowing them to move the input device in a three-dimensional (3D) space without requiring any flat surface. According to one embodiment of the invention, an input device is provided. The input device comprises a motion detection sensor that generates (3D) motion data associated with (3D) movement of the input device. The device wirelessly transmits the motion data to a computer to cause the computer to derive a distance and direction of the movement of the input device in a two-dimensional plane based on the motion data. The computer then moves a cursor to a corresponding position based on the distance and direction derived. The input device also generates control signals in response to a user's command to cause the computer to perform a corresponding cursor action, e.g., a double click operation.
