    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for detecting risk via a server system that receives, based on user activity at a device, an indication of a trigger event corresponding to a potential electronic communication. After receiving the trigger event indication and prior to receiving an indication of initiation of the electronic communication, the system executes a set of computations for the communication, including performing a multi-hop query to a graph database storing a graphical representation of a plurality of communications and storing results of the execution. In response to initiation of the electronic communication, the system retrieves, using information corresponding to entities involved in the electronic communication, one or more portions of the results of executing the set of computations the database. The system determines, based on the retrieved results, whether to approve the electronic communication.

Two opposing sides of the strengthened glass have surface compressive stress layers, and a third stress layer is sandwiched between the two surface compressive stress layers. The third stress layer includes a compressive stress region and multiple tensile stress regions spaced apart within the compressive stress region, the multiple tensile stress regions are extended in a thickness direction of the strengthened glass, and each of the tensile stress regions is surrounded by the compressive stress region. A sum of thicknesses of the surface compressive stress layers and a thickness of the compressive stress region located between two adjacent tensile stress regions is equal to a thickness of the strengthened glass.

    Abstract: A computing system is provided for modeling a deployment of heterogeneous memory on a server network. The computing system receives a user input of parameters including a memory ratio of local memory to heterogeneous memory in each server, a first relative throughput when an entire dataset is in local memory on a server, and a second relative throughput when the entire dataset is in heterogeneous memory on the server. Based on these parameters, the system determines a server ratio of a number of servers in an enhanced cluster with heterogeneous memory to a number of servers in a baseline cluster without heterogeneous memory, where the enhanced cluster and the baseline cluster deliver equivalent data throughput performance. Based on the parameters and the server ratio, a server network design is generated and outputted.

    Abstract: A method and a sensor for detecting L-cystine are disclosed. The method is implemented by assembling a sodium 3,3?-dithiodipropane sulfonate (SPS) membrane on a surface of Au membrane layer of an Au electrode and using an extended gate of field effect transistor (FET) and in-situ signal amplification of the FET to detect L-cystine sensitively. The polyanion of the SPS membrane adsorbs and binds a positively charged target L-cystine through electrostatic interaction, thus forming an electric double layer structure to generate a membrane potential identifying a monovalent organic ammonium ion. The sensor includes the FET, wherein a gate-extended gold electrode is arranged on the FET, and the SPS membrane is assembled on the surface of the Au membrane layer of the gate-extended gold electrode. The sensor has an excellent Nernst response to L-cystine.

The index values are separated from data and retained in cache memory to allow access without requiring a disk input/output (I/O) operation and thereby having less latency resulting from such disk I/O operations. The index values can be compressed using an algorithm such as Crit-Bit-Trie to allow storage of the index values in limited cache memory space. The index values can be selected for storage according to a least recently used approach when cache memory is insufficient to store all index values to maintain a hit rate for the cached portion and reduce the disk I/O operations.

    Abstract: Augmented Denoising Diffusion Implicit Models (“DDIMs”) using a latent trajectory optimization process can be used for image generation and manipulation using text input and one or more source images to create an output image. Noise bias and textual bias inherent in the model representing the image and text input is corrected by correcting trajectories previously determined by the model at each step of a diffusion inversion process by iterating multiple starts the trajectories to find determine augmented trajectories that minimizes loss at each step. The trajectories can be used to determine an augmented noise vector, enabling use of an augmented DDIM and resulting in more accurate, stable, and responsive text-based image manipulation.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for model based document image enhancement. Instead of requiring paired dirty and clean images for training a model to clean document images (which may cause privacy concerns), two models are trained on the unpaired images such that only the dirty images are accessed or only the clean images are accessed at one time. One model is a first implicit model to translate the dirty images from a source space to a latent space, and the other model is a second implicit model to translate the images from the latent space to clean images in a target space. The second implicit model is trained based on translating electronic document images in the target space to the latent space. In some implementations, the implicit models are diffusion models, such as denoising diffusion implicit models based on solving ordinary differential equations.
