Abstract: A method for interaction between devices based on a pointing operation and an electronic device. The electronic device may be a mobile phone or the like. In the method, a pointing operation performed by a user from a handheld device to a target device is detected via an acceleration sensor, a gyroscope, an IMU, a camera, or the like of the handheld device, and a wireless positioning function of the handheld device is triggered. When it is identified that an axis of the handheld device intersects or approximately intersects with the target device, at least one type of feedback such as visual feedback, sound feedback, and vibration may be provided on the handheld device and/or the target device, login account information and device information of the target device are transmitted to the handheld device, and a target device control window is displayed on the handheld device.

Abstract: An interaction method and a terminal device. The terminal device receives a first location signal through a screen. An interface displayed on the screen includes an operation area and a display area, the operation area includes a first target area, and a page displayed in the display area includes a first target function. The terminal device determines, based on the first location signal, that a location of a touch point is in the first target area, and then the terminal device provides a first feedback used to introduce the first target function.

The electronic device determines a target device based on the user operation. In one example method, a first device determines that a user identity of the first device is the same as a user identity of a second device. The first device obtains a target user of a task being executed by the second device. The first device determines, based on the target user of the task being executed by the second device, that a target contact of an application currently used by the first device is the target user. The first device sends information to the target user.

Abstract: A method and handheld device for remotely interacting with a second device. The method and apparatus identify the second device from a plurality of devices based on the gestures of the user. As the user gestures, movement sensors sensing the motion of these gestures can generate signals that can be processed by rule-based and/or learning based methods. The result of processing these signals can be used to identify the second device. In order to improve performance, the user can be prompted to confirm the identified second device is the device the user wants to remotely control. The results of processing these signals can also be used so that the user can remotely interact with the second device.
