  • Publication number: 20200243813
Abstract: Compact battery-based energy storage systems are disclosed. An example battery-based energy storage device includes: an energy storage inverter; a transformer; a fire extinguisher system; a first battery chamber; a second battery chamber, and an air conditioner system that is configured to provide air conditioning to the first battery chamber and the second battery chamber. The first battery chamber and the second battery chamber are separated by a wall structure and each has its independent air conditioning. The dimensions of the battery-based energy storage device are substantially same as those of a standard 20 ft container. The first battery chamber, the second battery chamber, and the wall structure may equal to inner width of the battery-based energy storage. The battery-based energy storage device may also comprise a ventilation opening of battery set at a top of the first battery chamber and/or the second battery chamber.

  • Patent number: 10511001
Abstract: An example battery-based energy storage device that comprises: a battery chamber configured to host a plurality of rechargeable battery packs; an operation chamber separated from the battery chamber by at least an insulation board; an energy storage inverter mounted on the operation chamber; a battery control box mounted on the operation chamber and configured to control one or more operations of the plurality of rechargeable battery packs; a first door rotatably mounted on the battery chamber; a second door rotatably mounted on the battery chamber. The first door and the second door open outward and are on opposite sides of the battery chamber; and a third door rotatably mounted on the operation chamber. The energy storage inverter is configured to convert AC to DC when charging a rechargeable battery pack and to convert DC to AC when providing power to an external device from a rechargeable battery pack.

  • Publication number: 20190088420
Abstract: In some embodiments, the present disclosure pertains to methods of producing a graphene hybrid material by exposing a graphene precursor material to a laser source to form a laser-induced graphene, where the laser-induced graphene is derived from the graphene precursor material. The methods of the present disclosure also include a step of associating a pseudocapacitive material (e.g., a conducting polymer or a metal oxide) with the laser-induced graphene to form the graphene hybrid material. The formed graphene hybrid material can become embedded with or separated from the graphene precursor material. The graphene hybrid materials can also be utilized as components of an electronic device, such as electrodes in a microsupercapacitor. Additional embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to the aforementioned graphene hybrid materials and electronic devices.
