Publication number: 20240423461Abstract: An imaging head of a medical scope comprises a capsule that encapsulates an image sensor and electronics associated with the image sensor. The imaging head further comprises a light guide, within or attached to the capsule, that conveys illumination to a field of view of the image sensor. The imaging head can be disassembled by breaking or cutting the capsule to separate the image sensor and the electronics from the light guide. The imaging head is manufactured by encapsulating the image sensor and electronics, and optionally also the light guide, in a capsule. The light guide may be overmoulded in a first overmoulding step to embed the light guide in an overmoulded body. The image sensor and electronics may then be positioned beside or against the overmoulded body and overmoulded in a second overmoulding step to complete the capsule.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2022Publication date: December 26, 2024Inventors: Rory O'Callaghan, Elizabeth McGloughlin, Jibran Ahmed Abbasi, Neil Clancy, Michael Lynch, Thomas Gillen, Cesare Stefanini

Patent number: 11747362Abstract: In a method for determining vibrations generated by a device, first vibration measurements are received from a first accelerometer coupled to the device, the first vibration measurements comprising a first device vibration contribution and a first environmental vibration contribution, wherein the device is located within an environment comprising a plurality of devices capable of generating vibrations. Second vibration measurements are received from a second accelerometer located within the environment and not connected to the device, the second vibration measurements comprising a second device vibration contribution and a second environmental vibration contribution. The first vibration measurements and the second vibration measurements are compared. Based on the comparing, the first device vibration contribution is estimated.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2021Date of Patent: September 5, 2023Inventors: Ardalan Heshmati, Mahdi Heydari, Jibran Ahmed

Publication number: 20230104773Abstract: A hearable comprises a wearable structure including a speaker, a sensor, and a temperature compensating circuit which measures temperature in an environment of the sensor. A portion of the wearable structure, which includes the sensor and temperature compensating circuit, is disposed within a user’s ear when in use. A sensor processing unit which is communicatively coupled with the temperature compensating circuit: acquires temperature data from the temperature compensating circuit while the portion of the wearable structure is disposed within the ear of the user; builds a baseline model of normal temperature for the user; and compares a temperature measurement acquired from the temperature compensating circuit to the baseline model. In response to the comparison showing a deviation beyond a preset threshold from the baseline model, the sensor processing unit generates a health indicator for the user which is used to monitor an aspect of health of the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2022Publication date: April 6, 2023Applicant: InvenSense, Inc.Inventors: Ilya GURIN, Karthik Katingari, Nicolas Sauvage, Jibran Ahmed

Patent number: 11517252Abstract: A hearable comprises at least one microphone coupled with a wearable structure and a sensor processing unit disposed within the wearable structure and coupled with the microphone. A portion of the wearable structure is configured to be disposed within a user's ear. The sensor processing unit acquires audio data from the at least one microphone and head motion data from at least one motion sensor of the sensor processing unit. The head motion data describes motions of the user's head and comprises cranium motion data and mandible motion data. The sensor processing unit separates the mandible motion data from the head motion data, synchronizes the mandible motion data and the audio data into a synchronized data stream; classifies an activity of the head during a portion of the synchronized data stream; and generates a health indicator for the user based on the activity and the synchronized data stream.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2019Date of Patent: December 6, 2022Assignee: INVENSENSE, INC.Inventors: Jibran Ahmed, Karthik Katingari, Nicolas Sauvage

Patent number: 10940384Abstract: In a method of motion sensor calibration, a motion with which to calibrate a motion sensor is determined. The motion sensor is controlled by a sensor processor and the motion sensor is comprised within a user interface that is coupled with a gaming engine. The sensor processor and the gaming engine coordinate regarding the motion. The sensor processor monitors the motion sensor for evidence of the motion made as a user input via the user interface in response to game content implemented by the gaming engine, based on the coordination, to incite the motion. The sensor processor calibrates the motion sensor with the motion.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2018Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: InvenSense, Inc.Inventors: Jibran Ahmed, Karthik Katingari, Hemabh Shekhar, Joe Youssef
