  • Publication number: 20230254768
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an approach for improving energy efficiency of a wireless communication device by reducing power distributed to receiver chain circuits (RCCs) based on determining whether the incoming wireless data is to be received and processed by the RCCs within an upcoming time duration. A device can identify a plurality of RCCs for processing data to be received by the device from a network. The device can determine that a first RCC of the plurality of RCCs is to receive the data within a time duration and that a second RCC of the plurality of RCCs is to receive no data within the time duration. The device can cause, responsive to the determination, power to be reduced to the second RCC and not be reduced to the first RCC, within the time duration.

  • Publication number: 20230194274
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for providing improved routing options using connectivity data. The method includes receiving, from a plurality of user devices, network connectivity data, the network connectivity data including associated geographic data. The method includes generating, using a machine learned model, one or more connectivity metrics for a plurality of geographic areas based on the network connectivity data. The method includes receiving a navigation request from a first user device, the navigation request including a destination location, an origin location, and one or more request parameters. The method includes determining a route to the destination location from the origin location that meets one or more connection criteria for the route based, at least in part, on connectivity metrics associated with one or more geographic areas along the route. The method includes transmitting data describing the route to a user device for display.

  • Patent number: 7587215
Abstract: In connection with a push-to-talk-over-cellular (PoC) function of a cellular telephone, the user interface of the cellular telephone presents certain information to the user of the cellular telephone concerning a current group call session. The information may include an indication of what proportion of the members of a group designated for the group call session are currently active. In addition, the user interface may provide a list of the members of the designated group, with icons indicating the current status of the group members. When a member of the group is currently talking, the talking member's name may be displayed by the user interface.

  • Patent number: 7403767
Abstract: A method of operating a cellular telephone system includes detecting that a first telephone call to a cellular telephone cannot be completed due to a lack of wireless connection to the cellular telephone. The method further includes detecting that the cellular telephone is re-connected to the system. In response to detecting that the cellular telephone is re-connected, data is sent to the cellular telephone, the data being indicative of the first telephone call. The method also includes storing the data in a missed call list in the cellular telephone.
