Abstract: A solar lighting system comprises a candle lantern lamp and a solar charging basket. The candle lantern lamp comprises a LED lamp having a candle shaped cover, enclosed in a housing; a slide on/off switch on the bottom of the LED lamp, a build-in rechargeable battery, a PCB controller for charging by the solar panel and prevent over charging, and a pair of contact pins connecting the charging base with the LED lamp and supplying solar energy to the rechargeable battery. The charging basket comprises a base and a handle, wherein a solar panel is permanently installed on the handle and the based provides at least two charging rings coupled with the base of the LED lamp.

Abstract: An area lighting system having a distributed lighting network is provided. The distributed lighting network comprises a main unit, comprising at least one LED, and multiple secondary units, each comprising at least one LED. The main unit is configured to receive a signal from a motion sensor, determine the illumination state of the LED based on the signal, activate a wireless transmitter based on the signal and send out a wireless radio frequency signal. Each secondary unit is configured to receive the radio frequency signal from the main unit and change the illumination state of the LED of the secondary unit based on the wireless input. Each of the main and secondary units is powered by an individual solar cell attached to the unit. Each unit further comprises a slide switch to determine the illumination state of the LEDs therein.

Abstract: An area lighting system having a distributed lighting network is provided. The distributed lighting network comprises two main units and multiple secondary units. Both main units are configured to receive a signal from a motion sensor, activate a wireless transceiver and send out a radio frequency signal. In addition, both main units are capable of receiving a radio frequency signal from a wireless transceiver from another main unit. Each secondary units is configured to receive a radio frequency signal from the transceivers of the main units and change the illumination state of the LEDs of the secondary unit.
