Abstract: Techniques are provided to configure a graphics processing unit (GPU) service platform to provide GPU processing and checkpointing services to a client system. For example, when the GPU service platform receives a service request from a first client system for GPU processing services, a GPU server node is allocated to execute a first GPU processing task associated with the service request using one or more GPU devices. When a GPU checkpointing operation is performed during execution of the first GPU processing task to generate a checkpoint image of a current state of the first GPU processing task, the GPU server node is configured to execute at least a portion of a second GPU processing task associated with a second service request received from a second client system, using the one or more GPU devices concurrently with performing the GPU checkpointing operation for the first GPU processing task.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and a device for managing a stateful application on a server. The method includes, in response to receiving a first request from a client for initializing the stateful application, allocating a storage resource to the stateful application. The method further includes, in response to receiving a second request from the client for processing data, storing the data in the storage resource. The method also includes enabling the stateful application to process the stored data.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and a device of resource orchestration resources using an object-oriented language, and a program. Specifically the present disclosure discloses a method of resource orchestration using an object-oriented language comprising: creating a correspondence relationship from concepts in the object-oriented language to a requirement of resource orchestration; creating a workflow for implementing the resource orchestration and based upon the correspondence relationship; and implementing the resource orchestration based upon the correspondence relationship and the workflow. The present disclosure also discloses a device of resource orchestration using an object-oriented language, and a computer program product for performing steps of a method of resource orchestration using an object-oriented language.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and an apparatus for data backup. The method comprises selecting, from a service store, a backup service for an application. The method further comprises setting, for the application, configuration information associated with the selected backup service. Additionally, the method further comprises in response to the backup service being enabled, deploying a backup service agent corresponding to the backup service to a source node associated with the application based on the configuration information, such that data of the application is backed up from the source node to a target node via the backup service agent.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for performing cross-layer orchestration of resources in a data center having a multi-layer architecture. The method comprises: performing unified control of all resources in all layers of the data center; performing unified storage of all topologies and machine-generated data of all layers of the data center; and orchestrating the resources of the data center based on the unified control and the unified storage. Embodiments of the present invention provide a higher level orchestration than methods in the prior art, and employ some functions provided by methods in the prior art to provide a unified manner when the demand changes for orchestrating a layered cloud data center, in order to immediately provide a suitable capability.

Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a main body defining a locking hole therein and an auxiliary body having a latch therein. The latch includes a button, a slider, and a spring member positioned between the button and the auxiliary body. The slider includes a locking portion retractably inserted into the locking hole. The slider is slidably engaged with the button in a manner that when the button is pressed along a first direction, the slider is pushed by the button to slide along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, thereby retracting the locking portion from the locking hole. The spring member is for elastically loading the button in a third direction opposite to the first direction.

Abstract: A storage medium player includes a base defining a medium-receiving area, a driving device mounted in the base for driving a medium, a cover pivotably attached to the base adjacent one side of the medium-receiving area, and a safety device mounted in the base adjacent an opposite side of the medium-receiving area. The safety device is capable of being switched between an activated state and a deactivated state upon pivoting the cover with respect to the base. When the cover is closed, the safety device is in the activated state and the driving device is enabled. When the cover is open, the safety device is in the deactivated state and the driving device is disabled.

Abstract: A storage medium player includes a base, a printed circuit board mounted in the base, and an indicator device. The base includes an upper body and a lower body. One of the upper body and the lower body includes a first engaging portion and defines a hole. The indicator device includes an indicating lamp and a shield arranged between the indicating lamp and the hole. The indicating lamp is electrically connected with the printed circuit board so as to be supplied with an operating voltage by the printed circuit board. The shield is mounted in the base with one end thereof being engaged with the first engaging portion. The shield includes a main body and a protruding portion extending away from the main body. At least a part of the protruding portion is received in the hole.

The housing houses a disk playing mechanism of said disk player, and defines two cavities (620, 622) and a buffer (624). The lid has a supporting member (60) being extendable into a first one of the cavities and being engageable with said buffer so as to buffer movement of said lid with respect to said housing. The resilient member is installed in a second one of the cavities, so as to resiliently provide movement of said lid with respect to said housing.

Abstract: A digital disc player includes a main body, a lid pivotally connected to the main body, and a latch mounted on the main body. The lid defines a recessed portion at one corner thereof and a hook is formed at the recessed portion. The latch includes a base through which the latch mounted on the main body, an end portion capable of moving in a horizontal direction relative to the base. When the lid is in a closed position, the hook engages the end portion. When the lid is in an open position, the hook exits from the end portion.

Abstract: A lock mechanism for a digital video player includes an elastic component, a switch, a main body, and a lid pivotally connected to the main body. The switch forms a switch button, a catch and a post for supporting the elastic component. The main body includes a cover and a housing. The cover defines a through hole thereon. The housing mounts at least one support for slideably supporting the switch, a stop plate connecting with the elastic component, and a second notch for accommodating the switch button. The lid mounts a hook on the bottom surface thereof corresponding to the through hole and being capable of hooking the catch when the lid is locked.

Abstract: An optical reproducing/recording apparatus (1) includes a chassis (11) with a first seat (17) and three second seats (16), a turntable (12), an optical pickup head (13) and a guide device (15). The turntable is located on the chassis for rotating an optical disk positioned thereon. The guide device has a first and second beams (151, 152). An end of the first beam is fixed on the first seat, the other end of the first beam and two ends of the second beam are respectively fixed on the second seats by an adjustable device (18). Each second seat has a groove for accommodating the beam and each adjustable device comprises an elastic element (182) and an adjustable element (181). The elastic element is positioned between the beam and a bottom of the groove and the adjustable element fixes the beam in the groove against a side of said groove.
