  • Publication number: 20060090117
Abstract: A method for data error checking includes accessing a plurality of sets of data, each of the sets of data having a plurality of bits; integrating the plurality of sets of data into integral data; generating error checking data according to the integral data, the error checking data being changed following any change of the plurality of sets of data; dividing the error checking data into a plurality of sets of sub-checking data, each set of sub-checking data corresponding to one of the plurality of sets of data; and when transmitting each of the plurality of sets of data in order, transmitting the corresponding sub-checking data in the meantime.

  • Publication number: 20060014955
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of optically enhanced chiral ionic liquids, particularly for gas chromatography and as a reaction solvent. Specific optically enhanced chiral cationic liquids are described as is a class of optically enhanced chiral anionic liquids.

  • Publication number: 20050121390
Abstract: A method of separation and/or recovery of a precious metal from a solution containing said precious metal in ionic form, optionally in the presence of impurities, including the step of contacting a solution containing said precious metal in ionic form with a conducting polymer. The method is generally applicable to precious metals including platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) and more particularly gold (Au). The ionic species may be anionic (for example [AuCl4]?) or cationic. The polymer may be for example, a polypyrrole or polythiophene, optionally doped and are preferably in a high surface area form eg. coated onto cloth or RVC or in self supporting colloidal form. The polymer may also contain species to give further functionality, eg magnetic or heat sensitive species.
