  • Publication number: 20140016886
Abstract: A split-type aerostatic bearing for supporting a moving table to move frictionlessly on a platform (4) is disclosed. The split-type aerostatic bearing includes an aerostatic bearing plate (6), air floating elements (2?a, 2?b, 2?c, 2?d) disposed on a bottom of the aerostatic bearing plate (6) and a vacuum pre-tightening structure (7) disposed on the aerostatic bearing plate (6). The vacuum pre-tightening structure (7) is coupled to the aerostatic bearing plate (6) in a split fashion. Separation of the air floating elements (2?a, 2?b, 2?c, 2?d) from the vacuum pre-tightening structure (7) prevents the aerostatic bearing plate (6) from bending under a vacuum pre-tightening force, and hence will not affect the air floating area.

  • Publication number: 20130270085
Abstract: A labor-saving micro-switch comprises a housing, a press member located on the housing, an actuation member located in the housing and a driven member located between the press member and actuation member. The press member is depressible to move reciprocally in a displacement inside the housing. The driven member includes a pivotal portion hinged on the housing in a swivelable manner, a force-receiving portion opposite to the pivotal portion in the displacement and a force-applying portion driven by the force-receiving portion and movable about the pivotal portion serving as a fulcrum to press the actuation member. The driven member drives the actuation member to switch between a first conductive state and a second conductive state through a lever principle. The micro-switch thus formed can achieve higher sensitivity and reduce production cost.

  • Patent number: 7771846
Abstract: An ME composite laminate of at least one (1-3) piezo-fiber layer coupled with high-permeability alloy magnetostrictive layers, optionally formed of FeBSiC or equivalent. The composite laminate alternates the (1-3) piezo-fiber and high-permeability alloy magnetostrictive layers in a stacked manner. Optionally, the magnetization direction of the high-permeability alloy magnetostrictive layers and polarization direction of the piezo-fiber layer are an (L-L) arrangement. Optionally, thin film polymer layers are between the (1-3) piezo-fiber layer and high-permeability alloy magnetostrictive layers. Optionally, piezo-electric fibers within the (1-3) piezo-fiber layer are poled by inter-digitated electrodes supported by the thin film polymer, arranged as alternating symmetric longitudinally-poled “push-pull” units.

  • Patent number: 7546373
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling secure dynamic credential distribution to a machine over a network are provided. In various embodiments, a computer, into which logging or access is sought, distributes logon credentials automatically to a requestor over the network before logon. Based on pre-existing trust, the computer self-generates and self-distributes logon credentials to the requestor, whereby the logon credentials are not stored on the requestor device.

  • Patent number: 7515076
Abstract: A method and apparatus for reducing switching noise in a system-on-chip (SoC) integrated circuit including an analog to digital converter (ADC) provides for reduced noise in the ADC conversions. Sampling circuits of the ADC are operated by sampling clock signals and digital circuits and other noise-generating circuits such as power converters, are operated by digital circuit clock signals. Both sets of clock signals are derived from the same master clock by a clock generator circuit, but an offset is applied in the clock generator circuit to move the edges of the digital circuit clock signals away from critical sampling intervals corresponding to edges of the sampling clocks. In one embodiment, the offset is applied by a processor core that forms part of the digital circuits by setting a value in the clock generator, which the clock generator then loads into the divider after halting the clock to the digital circuits.

  • Patent number: 7216840
Abstract: A supporting framework for a swivel chair or table includes a gas spring and a cylinder put on the gas spring. The cylinder includes two opposite holes and a plurality of equally circumferentially spaced longitudinal apertures. Spring loaded posts and lock bars are located in the apertures. A fastening ring rests upon the cylinder and includes a plurality of equally circumferentially spaced openings having a diameter less than a diameter of the posts but slightly larger than a diameter of the lock bars. A hollow cap with the gas spring projected therethrough includes two opposite channels of an inverted L-shape. Two, lock pins are inserted through the channels and the holes for fastening the cap and the cylinder together. Moving the lock pins from upper second positions to lower first positions in the channels will enable the gas spring to rotate or vice versa will lock the same.

  • Patent number: 7023206
Abstract: A magnetoelectric magnetic field sensor has one or more laminated magnetostrictive layers and piezoelectric layers. The magnetostrictive layers are magnetized by a bias magnetic field in a longitudinal, in-plane direction. The piezoelectric layers can be poled in the longitudinal direction or perpendicular direction. The longitudinal magnetization of the magnetostrictive layers provides greatly increased sensitivity at lower bias fields compared to other magnetoelectric sensors. Perpendicular poling of the piezoelectric layers tends to provide higher sensitivity at lower detection frequency (e.g. less than 1 Hz). Longitudinal poling tends to provide higher sensitivity at high detection frequency (e.g. above 10 Hz). Also included are embodiments having relative thicknesses for the magnetostrictive layers that are optimized for sensitivity. Equations are provided for calculating the best relative thickness for the magnetostrictive layer for maximum sensitivity.
