    Abstract: Provided is a protein contrast agent for enhancing an MRI image and comprising a polypeptide having a conformation presenting at least five oxygen atoms positioned to chelate at least one paramagnetic metal ion such as Gd3+, each oxygen atom being between about 2 angstrom units and about 5 angstrom units from the metal ion; the metal ion has at least one water molecule electrostatically interacting a distance of less than about 10 angstrom units a target-specific moiety conjugated thereto, at least one polyethylene glycol molecule, and a paramagnetic metal ion. Also provided is a method of obtaining an enhanced MRI image using the protein contrast agent to a T2/T1 or T1/T2 intensity ratio of the MRI image; and (d) obtaining an image of the T2/T1 or T1/T2 intensity ratio.

    Abstract: A nonlinear mechanical element including a buckling column and hard stops. In one embodiment when the nonlinear mechanical element is subjected to an increasing compressive load, the buckling column buckles at a critical load, resulting in reduced stiffness past the critical load. One or more lateral hard stops may be provided adjacent to the buckling column to prevent the buckling deformation from exceeding a certain extent, and axial hard stops may be provided to shift the load path away from the buckling column when a certain amount of compressive displacement has been reached.

The method includes: performing pose estimation on an input binocular vision image pair by using a three-dimensional facial reference model, to obtain a pose parameter and a virtual image pair of the three-dimensional facial reference model with respect to the binocular vision image pair; reconstructing a facial depth image of the binocular vision image pair by using the virtual image pair as prior information; detecting, according to the pose parameter, a local grid scale-invariant feature descriptor corresponding to an interest point in the facial depth image; and generating a recognition result of the binocular vision image pair according to the detected local grid scale-invariant feature descriptor and training data having attached category annotations. The present disclosure can reduce computational costs and required storage space.

    Abstract: Disclosed in this invention is a wafer processing apparatus and method for pre-alignment and edge exposure of a wafer. The wafer processing apparatus includes a pre-alignment module, an edge exposure module, a motion module, a control module and a rotary table. The motion module includes a rotation module, a lifting module and a translation module, which are disposed and interconnected above one another. The rotation module is connected at the top to the rotary table and is configured to drive the rotary table to rotate together with the wafer. The lifting module is configured to drive the rotation module and the rotary table to move vertically. The translation module is configured to drive the lifting module and the rotation module to move horizontally. The pre-alignment module and the edge exposure module are positioned in correspondence to opposing sides of the wafer. The invention reduces the number of objects to be controlled as well as the complexity in control and system structure.

    Abstract: A device generates blended frames, with each blended frame composed of multiple image layers and each image layer composed of multiple regions. The device includes display hardware. The display hardware retrieves a given image layer in a current frame from a memory. Based on at least content hints generated at the display hardware for the given image layer in the current frame, the display hardware makes a determination of whether to skip access to the memory for retrieving each region of each image layer in a next frame that is immediately after the current frame, and accesses the memory for the next frame according to the determination.

    Abstract: A wafer pre-alignment device is disclosed, including a first unit configured to drive a wafer to rotate or move upward or downward, a second unit configured to drive the wafer to translate, and a position detector including a light source, a lens and an image sensor.
