The method which may be performed by a user equipment comprises: obtaining meta data information of a group message from an application server. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, the method further comprises: receiving a file from a multicast/broadcast service entity. The file may be transformed from the group message. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, the method further comprises: transforming the file into the group message, according to the meta data information.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for multicast/broadcast service (MBS). A method performed by a radio access network node comprises receiving a first request from a core network node in a first network. The first request comprises a multicast/broadcast service (MBS) session identifier (ID) and at least one associated session identifier. The at least one associated session ID is used to make an association for two or more broadcast MBS sessions of two or more networks. The method further comprises when a predefined number of user planes have been established for the two or more MBS sessions, skipping establishing a user plane of a first MBS session towards the first network. The method further comprises when the predefined number of user planes have not been established for the two or more MBS sessions, establishing the user plane of the first MBS session towards the first network.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing adaptive service areas for multicast session continuity. Embodiments of a method performed by a radio access node in a Radio Access Network (RAN) are disclosed. Such embodiments introduce mobility of User Equipments (UEs) participating in a multicast/broadcast service, which is managed by the RAN. This means that the broadcast area will dynamically adapt as participating UEs move and/or radio conditions change.

Abstract: The method of this disclosure includes identifying a hot area in an index tree where an index split of the index tree has occurred due to a previous data insertion into a database based on historical statistic information on the index split. The method of this disclosure may further include predicting boundary key values of one or more new index pages to be inserted into the index tree for a next data insertion into the database based on a distribution of the hot area in the index tree. The method of this disclosure may further include inserting the one or more new index pages into the index tree based on the predicted boundary key values prior to the next data insertion.
