  • Publication number: 20120168994
Abstract: A method for molding a nut into a cover of an electronic device is provided. The nut includes a chassis defining a threaded blind hole therein. The method includes the following steps: providing a core mold, the core mold including a molding surface and a recess defined in the molding surface; placing the nut on the core mold with the chassis fittingly engaged in the recess; creating a negative pressure within the recess to firmly secure the chassis in the recess; attaching a cavity mold to the core mold, the cavity mold and the core mold cooperatively forming a molding cavity receiving the nut therein; and injecting molding material into the molding cavity to form the cover with the nut embedded therein. A molding device for molding the nut into the cover is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20120160644
Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing defining an opening, a button mechanism, and a fixing portion. The button mechanism includes a button cap depressibly received in the opening, a light guiding plate with the button cap mounted on a first side thereof, and a connecting portion. The connecting portion is mounted on an opposite second side of the light guiding plate, and includes a resisting member, and a tab protruding from the resisting member. The fixing portion is received in the housing, and includes a block defining a slot with with the tab extending therethrough, an light source for illuminating the light guide plate, a switch to switch on or off the light source and the electronic device. The switch is configured to switch on or off the light source and the electronic device. The button mechanism is depressible so as to enable the resisting member to actuate the switch.

  • Publication number: 20120082573
Abstract: A line-start brushless permanent magnet motor assembly includes an unconventional combination of a rotor assembly including a plurality of permanent magnets mounted thereon, and a stator assembly including aluminum winding coils. The unique combination of construction features leads to significant motor performance enhancements at lower incremental cost. The line-start brushless permanent magnet motor assembly may be incorporated into a hermetic compressor, such as may be used in an air conditioning system, to meet high efficiency standards (e.g., seasonal efficiency energy rating). The disclosed embodiments have an efficiency of at least 90% with winding coils consisting essentially entirely of aluminum.

  • Publication number: 20040066988
Abstract: A plastic bag includes a bag body having an top opening, a bottom edge, and a trash chamber defining therebetween, and a bottom enhancement arrangement including a sealing edge formed along the bottom edge of the bag body in such a manner that when the bag body is folded into an usage condition, the sealing edge is inwardly flipped into the trash chamber while two bottom side portions of the bag body is downwardly folded to form a round bottom portion of the trash chamber for evenly distributing a weight of the trashes so as to protect the sealing edge from being broken by means of the weight of the trashes.

  • Publication number: 20040066984
Abstract: A zipper bag includes a bag body having two opening edges, and a zipper arrangement including two zipping fasteners integrally attached along the opening edges of the bag body respectively to form a pair of sliding engagement rails, two stopper ends provided at two ends of the zipper arrangement, and a zip locker, having a guider arm, which is slidably mounted on the sliding rail and arranged in such a manner that when the zip locker is slid to one of the stopper ends of the sliding rail, the guider arm is slidably guided to unfasten the two zipping fasteners with each other, and when the zip locker is slid to the other stopper end of the sliding rail, the two zipping fasteners are guided to fasten with each other so as to enclose a storage cavity of the bag body in an airtight manner.

  • Patent number: 5890114
Abstract: HMM training method comprising a first parameter predicting step, a centroid state set calculating step, a reconstructing step, a second parameter predicting step and a control step. In the first parameter predicting step, a parameter of an HMM (hidden Markov model) is predicted based on training data. In the centroid state set calculating step, a centroid state set is calculated by clustering the state of said HMM whose parameter is predicted in the first parameter predicting step. In the reconstructing step, an HMM is reconstructed with using the centroid state calculated in the centroid state set calculating step. In the second parameter predicting step, predicted a parameter of the HMM reconstructed in the reconstructing step with using the training data. And, the centroid step is reexecuted by the control step in the case that a likelihood of the HMM whose parameter is predicted in the second parameter predicting step does not satisfy a predetermined condition.

  • Patent number: 5502790
Abstract: A speech recognition system starts by training hidden Markov models for all triphones, diphones, and phonemes occurring in a small training vocabulary. Hidden Markov models of a target vocabulary are created by concatenating the triphone, diphone, and phoneme models, using triphone models if available, diphone HMMs when triphone models are not available, and phoneme models when neither triphone nor diphone models are available. Utterances from the target vocabulary are recognized by choosing a model with maximum probability of reproducing quantized utterance features.
