The method includes: a first network device establishes, a network-layer-based first communication connection with a second network device; the first network device sends a first registration request message to the second network device through the first communication connection, where the first registration request message is used to establish a virtual cluster with the second network device; after the first network device receives a registration response message, selecting the second network device as an active main control device in the virtual cluster system; establishes, a network-layer-based second communication connection with a third network device; sends, a second registration request message to the third network device; and selects the third network device as a standby main control device. In this invention, a structure of a cluster is simplified, and scalability of the cluster is improved.

The establishment method includes: determining, by a first service controller, each hop on an LSP from a preset ingress to a preset egress, allocating, from first label space information of each hop, a label to each hop, determining incoming and outgoing information of each hop according to topology information of each hop, generating forwarding data of each hop, and sending the forwarding data of each hop to a node device corresponding to each hop to complete establishment of the LSP. A technical solution of the present invention can alleviate burden of a node device in an MPLS network and increase the number of LSPs that the node device is capable of supporting.

In an embodiment of the present disclosure, a master node having a control function obtains the current service type information and notifies a slave node of the current service type information, for enabling the slave node to determine a main virtual link and a backup virtual link according to the service type information and to perform the failure detection, and when detecting that the main virtual link has failure and the backup virtual link has no failure, a service data message is switched to be transmitted on the backup virtual link, to ensure non-interrupted transmission of a service data message in a brand-new system architecture provided by the present disclosure, so as to ensure the service reliability.

    Abstract: The embodiments of present invention disclose a method and a device for making uplink standby, including: configuring more than one uplink for an Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) proxy device, and choosing one of the more than one uplink as a primary uplink; the IGMP proxy device replicating a multicast packet received over the primary uplink and sending the multicast packet replicated over a downlink to a multicast host. In the method provided by the embodiments of the present invention, only the primary uplink is used, which reduces the link bandwidth waste of the multicast host and improves the multicast data transmission efficiency. Flexible methods are adopted for checking the availability of the primary uplink so that the IGMP proxy device may detect in real time whether the primary uplink is available and choose a new primary uplink in time to guarantee the normal multicast communication.
