    Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a method for heartbeat packet processing by using a proxy, an apparatus, and a communications system. The method includes: receiving, by a host, a first heartbeat packet sent by a first application in a client, where the client is a terminal that accesses the host by using a short range communications technology; and determining, by the host according to the first heartbeat packet and a first preset list, whether the first application is included in the first preset list. Thus, an objective of saving power for the host and the client can be achieved.

    Abstract: A display control method and a terminal device are provided. The display control method is applied to a terminal device having a transmissive liquid crystal display (LCD), and a backlight side of the transmissive LCD has a mechanical structure. The method includes detecting an operating status of the terminal device, turning off the transmissive LCD of the terminal device when the terminal device is in a standby state, and controlling the transmissive LCD to be in a transparent state to display the mechanical structure on the backlight side of the transmissive LCD. Hence, the method reduces power consumption of the terminal device and retains a watch function of displaying time by the terminal device.

The terminal side can acquire whether the network side uses the narrow bandwidth technology, and automatically adjust a bandwidth of a corresponding channel at the terminal side when the network side uses the narrow bandwidth technology, so that intra-system performance loss and inter-system interference that are caused by different bandwidth modes between the terminal side and the network side are avoided, thus improving performance of a communication system.
