Abstract: A method of dynamically adjusting a voice suggested distance for global positioning system (GPS) is provided. The method comprises receiving and decoding a GPS signal first by an electronic device, and then obtaining a speed parameter from the GPS signal. Then, a current driving speed is generated by calculating the obtained speed parameter, and a corresponding suggested distance is sought from a built-in table stored in the electronic device based on the current driving speed. Finally, the suggested distance is updated and registered temporarily. Accordingly, the present invention provides a more human GPS navigation function.

Abstract: A navigating method for a cell phone with a positioning device and the apparatus thereof are described. The longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates of a guiding mobile in a global positioning system (GPS) are sent to a guided mobile via a short message service (SMS). After decoding the short message contents, the longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates are obtained by the guided mobile. And a navigation application is wakened and launched to perform a navigation function by establishing the longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates as a navigation destination.

Abstract: An immediate language transferring navigating system and the method thereof are provided. The electronic map database includes map information having geographic information, language information and relational information. The language information is expressed in a native language, and the language database includes word databases. The system uses a positioning module to detect the present position and obtains the present map information by an access module, corresponding to the present position. Then a selecting module is used to select a setting word database, which uses a non-native language. Finally, a transferring module is used to transfer the native language of the language information into a selected setting language according to the setting word database, and a display module is used to display the language information in the selected setting language and the corresponding geographic information according to the relational information.

Abstract: A road information system and a method for providing road information based on Internet protocol are provided, wherein typically, a client sends out a connection signal, so as to establish a connection with a road information server, then, according to the current position coordinates, the client downloads corresponding road information from the road information server, so as to obtain the road information in the road information server immediately.

Abstract: A satellite navigation device having the real-time route-programming capability, comprising: a satellite positioning data receiver for receiving the satellite positioning signals and converting them into satellite positioning information; a traffic message receiver for receiving the traffic message signal; a microprocessor for digitizing the traffic message signal and converting it into traffic condition information; and a satellite navigation module for programming a mobile route based on the satellite positioning information and the traffic condition information, performing the navigation operation according to the programmed mobile route, and reprogramming in real-time the programmed mobile route according to the newly received traffic condition information.

Abstract: A message integration method utilized in a satellite navigation device, which is used to integrate satellite positioning information and traffic condition information, thereby performing a real-time route-programming operation. Firstly, the satellite positioning information and the traffic condition information are received respectively. Next, the data format of the traffic condition information is converted into the same data format (for example, the NMEA message data format) as the satellite positioning information. Then, the traffic condition information is analyzed to obtain the route-programming parameters. And, the real-time route-programming operation is performed according to the route-programming parameters.

Abstract: A tracking method for a cell phone with a positioning device and the system thereof are described. The longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates of a tracked end in a global positioning system (GPS) are sent to a cell phone of a tracking end via a short message service (SMS). After decoding the short message contents, the longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates are displayed in a geographic information system (GIS) installed in the cell phone.
