  • Patent number: 9961522
Abstract: A method for routing calls between a third party telecommunications device (“TD”) and a subscriber TD associated with a primary service and a second line service (“SLS”) involves associating the SLS number of the subscriber, the primary number of the subscriber and the primary number of a third party via a common relationship number. Calls directed from a third party to the SLS number of a subscriber are routed to an SLS platform and redirected to the subscriber TD. Calls directed from the subscriber TD to the third party use the relationship number to route the call to the SLS platform. The combination of the primary service number and the relationship number identifies the third party number for call completion. Calls can be directed to and from an SLS number of a subscriber TD using a combination of protocols such as ISUP, CAP and SIP.

  • Patent number: 9613587
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for enhancing display viewability in high ambient conditions without excessive increase in power consumption. In one aspect, a controller associated with the display device can be configured to obtain an indication of ambient light conditions from an ambient light sensor or from a host device hosting the display device. Upon receiving an image frame, the controller can derive a set of color subfields and determine a bit-depth value for each color subfield based on the obtained indication of current ambient light conditions and mapping data which maps ranges of ambient light to respective bit-depth values on a color subfield by color subfield basis. The controller can then generate a number of subframes for each color subfield based on the respective determined bit-depth value and cause the generated subframes to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 9606316
Abstract: A just-in-time data center cabling infrastructure is installed incrementally and concurrently with incremental changes in computing capacity in a data center. Based at least in part upon a determination to install one or more rack computer systems in a row of rack positions of the data center, a network switch device can be installed in the row, linked with a network zone via fiber optic cable connections, and linked to rack computer systems via patch cable connections. The fiber optic cables and patch cables are installed in the data center concurrently with installation of the rack computer system. A transverse bridge spans over an aisle space between opposite rows and includes console switch devices. The console switch devices, installed concurrently with one or more rack computer systems in the rows, enable remote access to console systems in the rack computer systems.

  • Publication number: 20170084248
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for improving angular distribution of light and total light throughput in a display device. A display device can include first and second substrates and an array of display elements positioned between the first and second substrates. A first light blocking layer can be positioned on the first substrate and can define a first plurality of apertures. A second light blocking layer can be positioned on the second substrate and can define a first second of apertures. A plurality of reflective sidewalls can be positioned adjacent to at least one edge of a respective aperture of the first plurality of apertures. • Publication number: 20160275876
Abstract: A direct-view display includes an array of MEMS light modulators and a control matrix formed on a transparent substrate, where each light modulator can be driven into at least two states, and a controller for controlling the states of each light modulator in the array. The control matrix transmits data and actuation voltages to the array. The controller includes an input, a processor, a memory, and an output. The input receives image data encoding an image frame for display. The processor derives a plurality of sub-frame data sets from the image data, where each sub-frame data set indicates desired states of light modulators in multiple rows and multiple columns of the array. The memory stores the plurality of sub-frame data sets. The output outputs the plurality of sub-frame data sets according to an output sequence to drive light modulators into the states indicated in the sub-frame data sets.

The optical filter includes a plurality of high refractive index layers and a plurality of low refractive index layers alternatingly disposed between the high refractive index layers. Quantum dots are dispersed in either the high refractive index layers or the low refractive index layers. In some implementations, the quantum dots are capable of absorbing blue light and emitting green light. Thus, the optical filter can be part of a red-green-blue lighting device that includes a first blue LED optically coupled with the optical filter to produce green light, a red LED and a second blue LED.

  • Publication number: 20160202470
Abstract: Systems and methods for a display having an array of pixels, a substrate, and a control matrix formed on the substrate are described. The array of pixels includes mechanical light modulators that can be referred to as micro-electro-mechanical or MEMS light modulators. The MEMS light modulators may be shutter-based light modulators, and an array of apertures may be formed on the substrate corresponding spatially to the shutters in the array of shutter-based light modulators. Each modulator is configured to be driven from a-light-blocking state to a-light-transmissive state through a movement direction. The array of light modulators are arranged to reduce the correlations in movement directions of neighboring pixels, thereby reducing the amplitude of acoustic emissions from the display.
