Abstract: Sofa which can be converted to a bed comprising a base having two opposite sides (1), between which there extends an upper longitudinal rod (4) and a canvas sheete (10) or equivalent which passes over this rod and is transversely movable with respect to the latter between two end positions, the opposite longitudinal edges (11, 12) of this sheet, in a first position, being held so as to form a seat in front of the said upper longitudinal rod, and it being possible for said sheet to be displaced by passing over and under the said rod to be brought into a second, extended position, to form a bed in front of the said upper longitudinal rod, and vice versa.
